  1. His value now is higher than it was in the offseason.
  2. I'm actually ok moving anyone not named Vaughn/Robert, including Anderson. They're right back where they were in 2016.
  3. Really the only guy that other teams would want is Abreu. I can't see that happening. Otherwise, there's nothing really to sell. Pollock is a salary dump, and I agree with Balta about Giolito.
  4. Rebuilding in 2016-17 was still the right thing to do. It just sucks it didn't work as well for the Sox as it did for the Astros and Cubs. Part of the issue is that the highest the Sox picked was 3rd, and because of the trades, they were only very bad for 2 years. Also, while Vaughn is a very good player, he's still a 1B. So much of the Sox rebuild hinged on Moncada being an established star and Robert coming up and being one right away. Moncada is very good but volatile offensively and Robert is very good but not a star yet. He still has time. Kopech getting injured and then missing 2019 and 2020 was also a setback.
  5. The answer is yes. Tony is awful The players are injured and underperforming. This season is lost. Do some retooling in the offseason and hope for bounceback years from important players in 2023. That's about all they can do at this point. Also, for fuck's sake, have a sit-down with Eloy and tell him he's going to DH going forward.
  6. Cleveland and Minnesota are about to put Sox fans out of their misery by the ASB. The sad thing is that the Sox don't really have anyone to sell other than Abreu. I have no idea if they'd do it.
  7. It's really too bad that they couldn't fit him in during the 2021 signing period.
  8. A friend has a ticket for July 23rd for me. I'm going to ask him to take someone else.
  9. It's really too bad that the fans can't force owners to sell. That's something that should be baked into the league's antitrust exemptions.
  10. I'd expect it to be lateral at best. Trying to figure out how to enjoy Sox baseball until ownership changes, because I think the current braintrust (sans TLR) will be here until that happens. I guess adjusting my expectations to have a playoff appearance as an acceptable outcome for the season is where I'm at. Don't expect anything more than that, and if more happens, be thrilled. Expectations will be somewhere between 75-85 wins on an annual basis.
  11. If I'm the Bulls, I'd go after Ayton but I'm not sure they can compete with the packages that Detroit and Atlanta can offer.
  12. They are clearly better than the Tigers and Royals, I can say that with confidence. They are not better than Cleveland and Minnesota.
  13. They're not better than Cleveland or Minnesota. They are exactly where they belong in the division.
  14. I guess we are stuck hoping that a group of blind squirrels finds a nut until ownership changes. If there was a housecleaning in October, does anyone trust Jerry to not hire another group of yes people?
  15. I wish the Sox would prioritize up the middle players a bit more, but do realize that's hard picking at the back end of every round.
  16. He has no chance right now. He needs regular ABs. Tony's drunk ass would rather play Leury. Just another example of an ass backwards, stupid organization. If they were going to call Sosa up, they need to give him a legit shot to play everyday for at least a month.
  17. Lynn should punch TLR in the face for leaving him out there to die.
  18. This has been a stupid organization for at least the 22 seasons I've been watching regularly.
  19. That's brutal. Why is TLR trying to kill Lynn's trade value?
  20. Good to see this performance from Lynn today. Hopefully he becomes a trade piece in a month or so.
