  1. They're not going to get healthy. They're going to have a crap lineup most nights. The bullpen is overworked and injured. The SP are cracking under the pressure of an offense that doesn't score runs. At least this year, this team is very ordinary. Maybe they can get back next year. I think some of the problems that individual players are having can't be fixed in-season.
  2. Like, they said today that Abreu and Vaughn are dealing with nagging leg injuries. This season is cursed. The kids in the low minors are doing well. No reason to trade them for a fix on a team that just can't stay healthy combined with massive underperformance.
  3. Say no to Gobert, trade up 5 spots or so for Mark Williams.
  4. This. A retool is necessary this winter. Some guys that were considered core players need to go.
  5. We kept waiting for Giolito to get his velo from last year back. It never happened, only got worse. Why expect anything different for Lynn?
  6. And that doesn't even go into Kopech, who was averaging 97 mph last year and is around 95 this year, with further drop after the knee injury.
  7. I'm very concerned about Lynn. He's pitching in the same fastball range as Giolito right now. 91-93 mph from a RHP without elite spin is meat in todays MLB.
  8. At some point, you have to blame the players for underperforming. Idk what has happened, but Kopech, Lynn and Giolito all took a major step back with their stuff this year. Kopech has been the only one who has been able to pitch through it, but idk how much longer that's going to happen.
  9. Abreu needs to go yard. I don't trust the bullpen in extras.
  10. Kelly sucks. Great velocity, hitters see it anyway.
  11. Does Ruiz have options left? If not I'd expect Foster goes down when he returns from Bereavement. Or maybe VV DFA? EDIT: Didn't realize Lambert and Banks were still up.
  12. He should have been moved to the bullpen in 2020. It was clear by then that he didn't have it as a starter. Was only 60 games though.
  13. Idk what took them so long to make Lopez a reliever.
  14. Whoever made the Maggs comp as a hitter was spot on.
