JMO, but I don't want Moncada and Grandal to be off the IL until they feel as good as new. I know both have been dealing with nagging injuries all year. Just rest up and be ready for the stretch run.

Newsflash: They're never going to be healthy. Nobody is. Even with the long-term injuries to Robert and Jimenez last year, they were one of the healthiest teams in baseball.

I do not feel confident in those 30 games against Minnesota and Cleveland, and the Sox always struggle with KC and Oakland no matter how bad they are. The Sox are what their record says they are.

I know it's fashionable to blame Hahn, but he has to work within the contract framework that Jerry will allow at any given time. IMO the blame is with ownership putting handcuffs on the FO, scouting dept and other areas that would help the team. If Jerry doesn't want to invest in sabes, advance scouts, long term deals, and in the international market then Hahn and Paddy are hamstrung by it. Hard to improve the team when ownership prohibits it.

Let's not pretend he was shopping for guys like Story et al.

While that is a problem, I think Grandal's contract being the largest in team history is a bigger issue. I don't doubt they spend money, but they do so stupidly and inefficiently. See Eaton, Adam(2021) and Harrison, Josh(2022) just to name a few. They like to light money on fire.
