  1. I know, Robert is still solid even though he's not playing all that well. They really need Yoan to get back to his 4+ win self. I think he has it in him, he's too talented to stay this bad forever.
  2. If they bring back Abreu, they almost have to trade Eloy. Idk what kind of value he has.
  3. Trestman was by far the worst coach I can remember. I didn't have the channel with the Sox back when Bevington was here, and I was 9 years old.
  4. Do you guys think that they bring back Abreu next year?
  5. Idk where to put this comment, but if Robert and Moncada aren't the Sox best position players by WAR in 2023-24, the Sox are fucked.
  6. If Lynn gets bombed early, there's not enough time for him to normalize his numbers.
  7. I don't know to be honest. I could see it going either way. I have no idea if GMs would value track record or 2022 performance. Yeah, if he won't net much it would be dumb. The fastball decline is apparent via scouting and I also don't know how teams are going to react to that. Giolito's swinging strike rate and k rate is the same as it's always been, but the other peripherals are terrible.
  8. If it doesn't work next year, I think they'll trade him as a rental. I don't see them bailing this year.
  9. I hope you guys are right, but I don't think the Sox will sell anyone. They'll bring most of the band back next year and hope for the best.
  10. He rarely hits 95 mph anymore. He'll pop a few in there a start but is mostly 91-94 now.
  11. When a team is buying, it's a "what have you done for me lately" industry. Giolito's stuff has been down all season, even before he got covid. You don't think scouts notice?
  12. You think that they'd still get a lot for him with the stuff and performance decline? I'm not so sure.
  13. Giolito has a 4.43 FIP and a 1.44 WHIP I'm not sure they'd get much for him if they trade him.
  14. Burger leads the team with 8 HR and he has played the fewest games of all of the regulars.
  15. That's the issue with the Sox so far. A lot of solid 3- 4.5 win players, but no stars.
  16. A lot of the guys in the low minors are performing, plus we have a surpise performer in Sosa. Most of the Sox talent is in A+ or lower.
  17. There's plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the farm. The only negative right now is if Hahn does something stupid.
  18. Lots of positive developments on the farm this year. At least we have that. Montgomery, Kath, Sosa, Colas, Thompson and Kelley starting to figure it out, etc. I'd give Haseley and Sanchez a look. Can't hurt.
  19. I've had it guys. Coming back to PHT when I've reached acceptance. See you guys in the Future Sox forum. Hopefully Hahn doesn't do anything stupid trying to save this dumpster fire of a season.
