GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)

Anyone else disappointed in Robert? I just looked him up, and he's hitting .272/.300/.400 against RHP with a 104 wRC+ He can still get better, but he's just okay at this point, nothing special. -

Tony is the least of their problems right now, and I can't stand him. This is 100% on the players not performing. Nobody saw them being this bad. Still not good enough to sniff a championship, but I still thought they'd win the division and get pantsed in the playoffs. One tier below Championship level, at their best. -

No reason to be upgrading until the winter. There's not much the Sox can do, too much dead weight. They have to hope that Moncada gets his shit together. I think Grandal, Leury and Pollock are just done, and completely expecting Lynn to come up here and be a gascan. -

I don't understand how you guys think that the team was championship quality in 2020-2021. They were clearly not. It showed during the 2nd half of the season and in the playoffs. It's hard to blame them for losing when they just got beat by better teams. -

The Sox in 2020-2021=the 2011 Bulls. Just not good enough. -

Regardless, they weren't winning that series. -

if those two teams put up any sort of resistance I'd bet they'd have finished in 3rd place. -

Rodon had his ace stuff against Houston for game 4 and they still lit him up. -

Disagree completely. Rodon wouldn't have made any difference. -

I don't think the manager would have made a difference. They were never talented enough. They would have been pantsed by Houston either way. -

They were never good enough to win a championship the last two years. They were good, but not good enough. In fact, I think they only made the playoffs in 2021 because Minny and Cleveland had bad years. -

Are you guys willing to accept that there was never a window at this point? I think I'm there. I'd fire Hahn and just blow it up at this point. None of the underperforming guys are showing any signs of getting out of it. -

Even the hitters who have been good lately are showing signs of going into slumps. -

I've been disappointed in Robert in the power department. He's actually starting to remind me of Moncada last year. Just a ton of singles but without the walks. -

Nobody will give you anything for Moncada if he's this bad. He either gets his shit together or the Sox ride out his contract until June 2024. -

I think they should just IL both guys until the ASB and give them a physical and mental break. -

Moncada has been worse than Leury. It's hard to win when two players you were counting on have been historically bad. I mean, Grandal/Leury/Moncada have been worse than Dunn in 2011. -

Gonsolin has been completely meh and the Sox can't do anything. -

They have 4 hitters worth a damn right now on the entire team. -

Yeah l looked up Robert and he hasn't been as bad as I thought he was. Also forgot about Abreu. Robert hasn't had many xbh in a while though. -

I think this is on the players, man. Most of these guys were all good for years. Hahn and TLR can't do anything about 3/4 of the team forgetting how to hit a baseball. -

Vaughn and Burger are the only hitters on the Sox doing anything right now on a consistent basis. Occasionally Pollock shows signs of life.
