i went to high school with Honel too, at Providence, and that kid could not be a bigger d-bag. Good ridence.

3 years 15 mil? Great new.

When you hear that Kenny is interested in someone its usually true. A couple years ago, everyone knew that he wanted vizquel and he kept that intrest until he could finally get him. Now he heard Chavez's name come up all the time last year, im sure there is still a strong interest in him. If Anderson or Owens fail, i bet we start hearing Ken Grif Jr rumors again.

Of the two new Sox DVDs, Sox Pride and the World Series one, which is better?

I think this is gonna be fun to watch, actually. From what ive been hearing most people seem totally against it. I do wish it started a little sooner though...

Who do you want to claim the last bench spot?

I think Willie would be good if ever given a shot to play everyday. Plus, you can always use speed on the bench. -
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) Its Mr No trades. Dont trade Joe Borchard, he may become Babe Ruth. Dont get rid of Timo Perez, he may hit 340 next year. Dont trade any one of our prospects, Scott Ruffcorn could of been a Cy Young winner. Scott Ruffcorn. Brings back some old memories. What about Mike Caruso, shouldnt he be winning his fifth gold glove by now?

Im sure most of you guys know more about baseball than i do, so how good is Chris Young gonna be? I know the Sox have Anderson and Jerry Owens, but Young was suppossed to be the fastest and the youngest. I really hope we didnt give away Andruw Jones here. Anyway, in Kenny I Trust, so im not gonna worry abou the trade too much.
-
The only way i'd consider it is if they cant find good enough value for garland, who now pretty much has to traded (or at least someone does). You never want to give away good starting pitching without getting enough in return. If they cant move garland for someone good, why trade him? BMAC has to be in the rotation this year, so i dont see whats wrong with a 6 headed monster.
-
this deal really shows the sox' intolerence of Scott Boras-Garland's agent. I heard the sox initally offered a 3 yr 24 mil deal, and boras and garland declined. Also, How good is Chris Young? Who would be his MLB comparison? From what i heard he sounds like juan pierre.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) No kidding. I don't like him one bit. I'd rather go with Anderson in Center. We dont need Jones, especially considering the outfield is where all of our best prospect are (besides for PC grad Kris Honel). Jones is a left fielder anyway.

Damaso Marte could be headin to the Dodgers

Milton Bradley is putrid. I heard someone on the radio compare him to T.O., only problem is TO is good. If my favorite team was seriously considering trading a top prospect of reliever for him (which thanks God there not) I'd be furious. -
Ya the Central is gonna tough this year, but im not all that worried about Cleveland. Last year, basically everyone had a career year (granted the majority of them are young). I think it will take about 93-96 wins this year.

I'll give um Bajeneru and maybe willie harris but thats it.

Is tonight the night AJ is on TNA Wrestling?

For the dude who said he could post the caps. POST THE FRICKIN' CAPS. (please) -
QUOTE(hi8is @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) ive heard suggestions of an inhouse replacement such as arnie munioz Does anyone else remember that game in Montreal two years ago? They said his curve was equivalent to Zito's so maybe they should give him another shot.

When we got Harris for Singelton (i think), everyone thought we totally ripped off the Orioles. Is it just me or does he remind anyone of a poor mans Corey Patterson?
-
I dont know alot but i do know that Jeff Bajaneru is the most obscure athlete in the history of professional sports to have his own website. (move over Pat Mannley)

For the first guy who said "Get me Mike Myers", thats right on. Cotts was great last year, but everyone knows the bullpen is the most unpredictable position from year to year (20 bucks says Erye and Howry have ERA's around 6). We really need another lefty and i think a verteren sidearmed guy like Myers would be perfect.

I really thought Mueller would be a nice addition to the White Sox as insurance for Crede's back. I know he had a monster post-season, but Joe Crede is still a .260 hitter, so i thought adding Mueller would fantastic. I guess Rob M. (dont know how to spell his last name) is gonna have to be that guy now.

Bears 17 Steelers 3 2 TDs and 240 yards for Orton as he silences his critics because all he does is win. (If you guys are looking for a good Bears forum www.webwaymonsters.com)

Indians expected to land closer Hoffman
Ricky3353 replied to Pierzynski 12's topic in The Diamond Club
The contracts may be getting rediculous but the fact of the matter is that if you want talent you gotta pay for it. This move kinda worries me cause that just means that the tribe in gonna be a little stronger late in games. We'll have to see whatelse the do though cause as they are presently constituted the Tribe isnt even close to THE CHAMPS. -
I heard Phil Rodgers on the score today and he said he wasnt too thrilled with this deal. The two pitching prospects (not Mitre) are suppossed to be big time, right behind rich hill and angel guzman in the organization. Pierre sucks anyway. He might swipe 50 bags but his on base percentage in atrocious and he has a weaker arm than my grandma.
-
With Comcast showing all the spring training games last year, alot of people really got to see what Casey could do. I think hes a little older now that most propsects but i believe if inserted into the lineup he could probably give you .270/15 HRs/ 65 RBI. I would actually like to see him on the bench. The Sox had absolutly no pop off the bench last year (besides for when blum sold his soul for the shot in game 3) and i'd rather see rago than Gload. He can give you the ability to play multiple positions and he could provide some power and youth.

I really would not be that enamored with getting Pierre. The Sox have three top prospects in center and i'd like to see them get a chance. The real reason i dont want Pierre really is because of his weak arm. With one weak arm already in the outfield, Podsednik, i think it would be really counter-productive to add another. For a team that was so solid defensivly last year, i would really hate to see them make the transition to a team that is weak up the middle. I do think Iguchi should be moved down in the lineup and i realize that the only time we struggled was when Pods was hurt, but i dont want Pierre.
