http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...sp&c_id=mlb Looks like he is thinking about giving wild-card teams fewer home games (makes no sense) and expanding the LDS to best of seven. I don't agree with either. Looks like he is sick of seeing teams like the Sox, Marlins, Tigers advancing and wants to give they Yankees a better chance.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 15, 2006 -> 11:38 PM) Uribe didn't go to college. He's got some eligibility left... Who signs him first, Miami football or Iowa basketball?

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Oct 15, 2006 -> 01:18 PM) Found this on the MLB trolls boards Here's the translation I got from dictionary.com So was it some kind of pellet gun or a handgun? There is a big difference, and the translation uses the word pellets.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 15, 2006 -> 12:06 AM) Your going to annoy everyone on a White Sox fan message board until Sox management resolves the minor league system? Makes sense... I agree with him in the fact the Sox need to resolve the system. It's not the worst in the league, but I'd say it'll come in around 20 in BA's rankings next year. I wouldn't mind the Sox subtracting their payroll and putting the money into player development.

I was wondering why he wasn't there today. -
Did Rock not get along with somebody? I would like to see Razor as the bench coach.

That's a great deal, I might have to get my hands on some other DVD's at A&E too.

I'd like to get get a good setup guy. I would like to have somebody that I can trust in case Bobby goes down or is ineffective. I don't know about Bobby's long term value.

Hopefully Detroit can win tomorrow and eliminate any chance of a subway series. I don't know what Leyland was doing putting Jones and Zumaya out there when it was 6-0 and they could play both Saturday and Sunday.

Brantley was saying on BBTN that he spoke with someone "very, very close to the situation" and he said Grimsley never named Pettite and Clemens (maybe the other two, I cant remember) and it was somebody that asked Grimsley about them. It was something like that, cant really remember. Granted it's brantley, but its something to think about.

I love how everybody was talking about the Sox choking last year, yet you hardly hear anything about it for the Tigers.

QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 06:04 PM) Been a tough road, a tough season, but sorta fun.. I'm not happy with the year they had but ya never know.. anything can happen in the playoffs! Much better to at least be there instead of sitting at home like we are.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) He'll never win, but if he tears up Iowa and approaches Barry Sanders record or breaks it, he'll get invited to New York. And I have no reason to think that won't happen. I would love to see him at least get invited to NY. When is the last time a mid-major player got invited? Maybe Tomlinson? -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 30, 2006 -> 08:44 AM) No Cunningham in the top 20 of the SAL. I find that hard to believe a 20 year old who hits .300+ with nearly a .900 OPS and 19 SBs is not in that top 20. Yea I figured he'd make it. The guy said he was right outside the top 20. You have to remember that it's a 16 team league though. -
Was our best hitter on the bench most of the year?
WhiteSoxfan1986 replied to Felix's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Gload should have gotten a lot more starts in left though. -
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) If Owens is starting next year, we're in trouble. Garcia looks great again...he's making it tough on KW and Ozzie to trade him. At least his value is going to be sky high if we do get rid of him. Would you rather have Owens/Pablo or Pierre, who will be more expensive? Owens should be able to hit .270, steal at a greater success rate than Pods, and play decent defense.

I'd say the best skits were terror taxi, man fishing, the bull teeter tauter, and when they put the cobra in the cage with Bam.

McCarthy dealt tonight. Congrats to Charlie on his first career save

I'll root for the Twins over the Yankees any day. I'll probably root for Oakland in the AL.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) Did all the others to make the top 20 play in the league for all or most of the season? I think McCulloch only made five or six starts in Great Falls and spent a little more time in the Carolina league. I sent in a chat question and the guy said he was three innings short of qualifying and would have ranked 2nd or 3rd. I was thinking 20 was the minimum like the AZL and GCL, but it's 25 IP. McCulloch had 22. -

I was at the game last night, and it was painful. I don't know if Jose makes another start. Since McCarthy isn't stretched out, I wouldn't mind seeing Haeger or Tracey get a start or two.
