  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) The fact that he was hit hard and struggled isn't what bothers me, that happens. The fact I didn't see him hit 90 once all game is what bothers me. Hopefully this was just a bit of a dead arm period or a bad day, because Freddy without a low to occasionally mid 90's fastball isn't going to work IMO. Hopefully his velocity is still coming back, but of course this is a concern considering all the innings he's thrown in his career, especially last year. I'm thinking the same thing. If it's like this in a month I will be worried.

  3. Can't raeally disagree with much of that, altough I would rank Memphis higher (I'm assuming Washington will return) and LSU lower. I highly doubt both Davis and Thomas return.
  4. I just bought this game today for the PS2. I like the game but it's always disapointing, and I like it better than college hoops 2k6. EA always seems to do this game really half assed. Here is an example, Villanova plays at the Pavillion, yet they play at the Jake Nevin fieldhouse in the game and it says Wachovia center on the court. Makes no sense. I like the gameplay and graphics better in MM, but dynasty is better in 2k6. If you put 2k6's dynasty mode into MM it would be a great game. I hope EA doesn't make the game so half assed from now on.
  5. Well now Mayo and Walker are absolute LOCKS to end up at KSU.
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) I have no idea who the Royals top pitching prospects are, but if they don't have any available which are close to MLB ready that's absolutely pathetic. Especially considering they've been a fixture within the top five in the draft for who knows how long. I often criticize our development of pitchers, but atleast we have an excuse. It's difficult to find your studs drafting 12-18 every year for over a decade. Royals ineptness doesn't really compensate for our lack of pitching depth, though. Even Gonzalez and Haigwood, both regarded as top pitching prospects within our organization, wouldn't have been expected to earn a spot on our clib until 08' at the earliest. The Royals system sucks. They gave a few good infielders with Gordon, Butler, and Huber, but that's pretty much it.
  7. http://www.zoomcom.ca/beerleague/ It's a trailer about a show a beer league hockey team is trying to put together called "beer league". If you like it they want you to sign the petition on the right. They are trying to get enough petitions to get a broadcast deal. I signed it, I would definately watch this show.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) Penn and Indiana State in 1979 was the last case where it happened. There was also UMASS in 1996.
  9. I'm sticking with the Memphis, my original pick.
  10. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) I actually doubt it will really f*** anyone. Who has somebody besides Duke and Uconn winning? I have Memphis, and I am liking that pick better and better watching UCONN play lately. When Williams was dribbling the ball up the court down by 3, I was yelling Foul! Foul! Foul! This is an endless the debate, but I like fouling when you are up by 3 in the final seconds, I don't know why more coaches don't do it. Horses*** officiating too.
  11. What does everyone have against Gonzaga anyways? Is it just Morrison? I have never really understood all the hate for the Zags, and why people would root for UCLA over them (unless they have them in their bracket of course).
  12. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 06:13 PM) lol, from your post, I was thinking you might not have seen the other brackets. LOL I didn't see the other brackets, I thought they were just gonna do like one a week.
  13. I'll have to go with 2001 Duke because that's the best team in the group that I saw. Double digit wins in every tournament game is impressive, and who can forget the comeback against Maryland.
  14. Well I have the Falcons, and they just traded the 15th overall pick to Denver in the Abraham trade.
  15. I was thinking to myself a couple of days ago what happened to this guy.
  16. s***ty ass day for me. I have 12 out of my sweet 16 and 5 out of my elite eight. I lost a final four team in Iowa.
  17. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 09:00 PM) We just traded away three highly rated prospects this offseason. Shouldn't this have been expected? I kind of expected us to be higher than 27th. I will put much more stock into BA's rankings.
  18. I did awful the first half of today, getting 3/8. On top of that, I lost a final four team (Iowa).
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) I think I'm about the only person who has BC losing to Nevada 2nd round. I actually have Nevada in the elite 8, Fazekas is a stud. I think the travel and high altitude might effect BC, and Nevada is a lot closer to home.
  20. Texas A&M over Syracuse UW-Milwaukee over Oklahoma San Diego St. over Indiana Northern Iowa over Georgetown Michigan St. in the elite eight Nevada in the elite eight
  21. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 12:28 AM) They'll both start at Charlotte. I hope they start at B-ham.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) I always do just 1 bracket. I fill it out quickly with my head, figure that's the best way to do it. You have 1 bracket to brag/be bitter about, and if you do it quick and don't look back, you avoid all the mental anguish. With that said, as long as I get ONE of the final 4 right with this year's craziness, I'll be happy. Same here. I don't see how people can fill out 4 or 5 brackets. Too boring. Same with having 5 fantasy football teams.
  23. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) I'm Rick James b****... LOL that was my fantasy baseball name a couple of years ago. I just joined. My name is "Adam Morrison."
  24. They play tonight at 6 (central) against Oral Roberts on ESPN. It would be great to see them get in.
  25. Right now I'll say UCONN, Nova, Gonzaga, Texas
