QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 04:47 PM) I can't believe they determine elimination games via shootout. The thing is with three games being played at the arena in one day they can't have games going to 3-4 overtimes. -

New Bears Stadium

Soldier Field is a joke. Every time I a new stadium come up it makes me sick, knowing the Bears could have had something like that but have a spaceship. I know I'm in the minority here, but I want a dome. I would love to see a Super Bowl come to Chicago, as well as Final Fours/NCAA Regionals. Not to mention a Big Ten football championship assuming they expand. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 01:58 PM) This wasn't Miracle on Ice 2. It also wasn't one of the best hockey games ever played (though it had some of the best talent ever). Some of the stuff I've seen and heard is way over the top. It's also not THAT big of an upset. It helped a ton because we get a bye and a 1 seed. But if we don't go on to medal, it means relatively nothing. Especially if Canada ends up winning it or medaling. It's all about what lies ahead now. Maybe this is the game that gives them the confidence to win the whole thing. We'll see how it shakes out. Couldn't agree more. No matter what happened, if both teams meet again Canaada will be favored, as they should be. -
Watching olympic hockey all week made me think how great the summer olympics would be if MLB allowed its players to compete (if MLB sent its players, baseball would be reinstated as an olympic sport). IMO, it is a much, much better alternative to the WBC (which is a joke). Just start the season a week, week and a half earlier and schedule some doubleheaders. The competition would be insane. What does everyone else think?

Russia and the Canadians looked really good. Granted, they played two terrible teams. Can't wait for the Czech-Slovakia game tomorrow. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) We have both Fatburger and In N' Out Burger here in Vegas. I honestly don't eat burgers that often, so when my buddy came to visit a few months ago from Chicago, he insisted we go to In N' Out. I must say, the burger was quite delicious. However, the fries were for s***. I just can't rank a burger place #1 if their fries are that weak. What about Culver's? I think Fatburger takes the cake for me with the franchises/chains, but nothing beats a solid burger from a hole in the wall joint like McDivot's on Lagrange Rd... In N' Out Burger is the best. The one time I had it I didn't really have a problem with the fries either. I'll be out in Vegas in March and I will definitely be hitting it up.

I started watcing LOST about three weeks ago on Netflix, they let you watch the episodes online. So I've watched the entire series in the last three weeks, and literally just got done with season five about five minutes ago. Can't wait for tonight's episode, although it's going to suck having to wait an entire week between episodes.

Would much rather have him sign with the Twins than go to the Yankees.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 12, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) Because Dan Hawkins has massively failed at Colorado and he was the last Boise coach. USC should get someone proven they can win at a BCS school, not Boise. If I'm USC I'm going after Butch Davis -

When will teams learn that college coaches suck in the NFL? On top of that, Carroll has already failed in the NFL. -

Good to see Cutler have another good game today. It's nice to see him end the season on a positive note after all the s*** he's taken. Finished with more TDs than picks too. And I'm loving the fact that Denver choked the 2nd half of the year. Josh McDaniels is a complete joke. The idiots will still say that Orton had the same record as Cutler, but won't point out the fact that Denver went from having the 30th ranked defense last season and had the 8th ranked D this year. -

I hope the Colts lose their first playoff game. I can't believe the s*** they pulled today. Resting your starters doesn't work, in 05 and 07, they did the same thing, came out flat and lost their first playoff game. Keep the momentum and avoid rust. -

The Saints offensive line did a TERRIBLE job on that final drive, it almost felt like I was watching the Bears. Brees had absolutely no time to throw against a four man rush. It sucks to see the Saints perfect season end, for the simple fact that I'm sick of Mercury Morris and the 72 Dolphins. Hopefully the Colts can win these next two games. -
I'm not glad Chris Henry is dead, but at the same time I think it's over the top for the NFL to have a moment of silence for him around the league. Dan Bernstein had a great comment earlier when he said that if Chris Henry survived, he would once again be in Goodell's office facing another suspension.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 13, 2009 -> 10:30 PM) Yep not a shock, it is December after all. Nick Folk is done as our kicker, Buehler should take over this week. As for Wade Phillips, well his job is probably hanging by a thread right now. Doesn't get any easier with a trip to play the Saints next w/e. The NFL sure didn't do the Cowboys any favors with this schedule. These last four games will pry be Phillips' last as coach. IMO, I think he will have to at least win a playoff game in order to keep his job. -

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Dec 7, 2009 -> 12:32 PM) The way I look at it is Tony Dungy is a defensive minded coach, that defense was never that good in Indy... it had its ups and downs but especially for having 2 of the better pass rushers in the league and having an offense that almost forced the other team to pass if you could make a stop or two, not impressed. Not to say he is a bad coach, he had a lot of successful years in Tampa if I remember right with a pretty poor offense. Exactly. I've always thought Dungy was overrated as a coach, and I don't want him anywhere near the Bears should Lovie get fired. -
Yea, I was surprised when I saw that. I always heard Murphy was a prick, so who knows what happened.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 09:44 AM) Titans are starting to put things together. Kris Brown continues to miss clutch kicks, that is 2 games straight where the game should have went into OT. I like the Texans but this seems like another 8-8 year for them unfortunately. Gary Kubiak is awful. With eight seconds left and a timeout, why didn't he try for more yards at the end, instead of settling for a 49-yard field goal, hardly a chip shot? And Steve Slaton averages over a yard more than Chris Brown, yet Brown gets twice as many carries. I know Slaton has had some fumbling problems, but that makes no sense. -

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 12:11 AM) With the Bears season going down the drain I'm liking what I've seen out of the Titans and VY. I really wish VY was the starter from day 1 because the Titans would be in a lot better shape right now. I'd love to see them somehow find a way into the playoffs, but tough game against Indy next weekend. I'm still not a fan of VY, never have been. The reason the Titans are winning is the fact that Chris Johnson is an absolute beast, VY is just along for the ride. We'll see how VY does if the Titans get down early and are forced to pass. -
