What was Bobby's velocity like? Was he sitting at 95-96 like his last outing?

I still can't figure out how Ed Wade got another job.

Why is Buehrle starting today and not on regular rest tomorrow? -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) They lead the league in runs scored, in hits, in doubles, 4th in triples, and OPS. Maybe I like their offense because they are not one dimensional like the sox. They also hit 40 points lower away from Arlington. -

So with Garland doing well and Contreras's struggles, would anyone rather have him than OC? -
Dye is expected back Tuesday, per Cowley.

There is no reason to bring back Crede next year.

Losing 2 of 3 to KC at home is unacceptable. We should have had bases loaded with one out and the eight, but Jeff Cox decides to give away an out, sending one of our slowest runners against one of the best arms in the league. It was nice to see Jenks throwing in the mid-90's again though. Hopefully he can sustain that.

I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else. I went to Best Buy to see how much it would cost if I were to send it in, and it sounded like it would be about $100. The guy also said that if it was the transformer, I might as well buy a new computer. I just wanted to see if anybody esle has had this problem and how much it cost them to fix it.

QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 11:54 AM) This is no big deal, and any outrage/shock over this is laughable. If the kid was getting tanked, I would understand. He had a sip, and the dad that allows a sip every here and there is better than the dad who strictly forbids it only to see his kid wind up being a lush the second he's out of the parent's grasp. The lesson of moderation is the most valuable lesson you can be taught regarding alcohol. In Europe wine is all but standard at family dinners/family events. I don't think it's a huge deal, but it's not the smartest thing to do out in public. -
per Cowley-A stellar inning of work on Wednesday for Class AA Birmingham, Bobby Jenks struck out the side. Expect him recalled from the DL on Friday. Twitter is f***in great

If it's anywhere close to as good as the NFL network it will be great. I hope they show a lot more classic games, world series highlights, etc.

Uno/Due>everywhere Although Giordano's and Gino's are great as well. Never had Lou's.

I don't want duschsherer. Obviously, hee's pitching over his head right now. Plus you would be taking him out of one of the best pitchers parks and putting him in one of the best hitters parks. Plus, he will tire in the second half.

How much should we worry about Joe Crede?
WhiteSoxfan1986 replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Offensively, he's right around his career average. defensively he has been horrible though, just one more reason why he shouldn't be with the sox next year. -
I saw exactly what I thought I'd see from Richard. He's a back of the rotation guy. I was dissapointed in how they chose the U.S. team this year, as far as the whole olympic team thing. I would have much rather saw a guy like Poreda than Richard. Plus guys from other teams like Matt Wieters. And I know he pisses people off, but somebody should hire Davey Johnson.
-
I'd have to say Joe Namath, who has a career QB rating lower than Rex Grossman's. Terry Bradshaw is runner up.

Josh Hamilton Presents the 2008 Home Run Derby

I used to love the home run derby, but I probably won't even watch it. It's too damn long. Make it 2 rounds instead of 3 and I might tune in. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) Thanks for nothing Joe Crede. I really hate the fact he made the all-star game. I really hope we don't resign him. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Who would you say is the best then? Either Boston or Tampa Bay. You could make a case for the White Sox and Angels as well. A lot of it depends on Harden's health. They are the best team in the NL though, and should be in the NLCS due to the fact that they will probably face the NL west winner in the first round.
