Gary Thorne says Bloody sock was fake
WhiteSoxfan1986 replied to Kyyle23's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 09:32 AM) Whether or not the sock was bloody is debatable. Whether or not Curt Schilling is a total dickface isn't. At least in my mind. It wouldn't suprise me one bit if he stayed up until 6 a.m the night before painting the thing. -

WCIU and blackouts (HD related ramblings)
WhiteSoxfan1986 replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
MLB blackout rules are a joke, period. I don't understand why you can't watch Cardinals or Brewers games on MLB.tv, let alone the Sox. The NBA shows the Bulls on Comcast and TNT/ESPN, I don't see why MLB can't do the same. -
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:06 AM) If we trade Gio and Russell for Freel, we would have ZERO chance of developing a 1-3 caliber starter in the next 2 years. KW would have to be out of his mind to trade Gio for Freel, let alone Gio and Russell.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:52 PM) So does the rest of the AL Central. The rest of the AL central loves seeing Erstad leading off.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:43 PM) Terrero will be 27 next month and Owens just turned 26 so no they are not young. Fields is 25 and has been terrible thus far this season and Sweeney is 22 but hasn't done much of anything either. So assuming Mack, Dye, and Thome can't play for the next couple of days I'd say someone is getting called up. If it were up to me it would be Owens.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing Owens leading off for the Sox right now. Floyd still walking too many guys.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:04 PM) "young outfielders"? Terrero and Owens are both very old for prospects, aren't they? Terrero isn't a prospect, and Owens is 26/27. Although Jerry is raw for that age saying that he played football for a couple of years at UCLA.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) Where's our Chad Durbin? What a joke Did the update Mack's condition at all? If he is out for a couple of days I expect Boone to be sent down in favor of Terrero/Owens/Sweeney.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) I don't think it matters tonight. This Tigers lineup is so much better than ours is, even with some guys struggling. More of the fact that we have one horrible outfielder and one average outfielder playing over one of the best outfielders in the game. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:00 PM) I hope they teach him a cutter or a sinker. A little overreaction about having a new manager, but it's sad that we could even question if he thinks those guys are better outfielders. Like someone mentioned earlier, it gives us no defensive flexibility if we needed it late in the game. It's too much to say we need a new manager, but there is absolutely no excuse to not have Anderson in the field. I have a feeling you might be adding a date to your sig today. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 07:07 PM) You should have thought about that before attending NIU. Ah, the joy of never having to worry about games being blacked out. LOL. I figured a school an hour from Chicago would get ComcastSportsnet (although this is on WCIU, I don't get that either). A lot of times I go to the bar, and I might be living off campus next year. -

Looking at the radar there is a lot of rain west of Chicago. If we even get this game in it probably doesn't end until around midnight. -

Anderson at DH? That makes absolutely zero sense. It should be-Anderson CF, Erstad LF, Mack RF, Ozuna DH. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) It's amazing hearing Hawk talk about Erstad. He sounds like someone's proud mother. Hawk doesn't give a s*** if Erstad hits .150 as long as he plays hard and hustles. -

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:34 PM) If Rowand comes back, it's because KW thinks playing him everyday is better than a platoon of Mack and Ozuna in LF. Don't see it happening. The guy I want from Philly is Victorino, although we would have to give up some of our bullpen.
