ESPN All Kruk Team - Pierzynski Catcher
chaerulez replied to Bubba Philips's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Kind of mixed about this. AJ getting pub is good, but Kruk is a moron. -
I thought Razor Shines wasn't well liked by players? Anyways, I don't blame BA for leaving, if he felt sick he shouldn't play.

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) I think all these Japanese guys should go straight to the draft. Just my opinion. And I think for anyone who is entering the league for the first time. DRAFT! Agreed, this way the Yankees actually get punished for dealing all their farm system talent, instead they get an easy way out by buying all their prospects like Wang, Melky, Cano, and Tabata.

Nice, I've been looking for a good Bears forum for a while.

Looking to buy an XBOX 360
chaerulez replied to maggsmaggs's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) I reall considering buying an XBOX 360 with some work money, why question is should I buy the 360 or wait for the PS3, or buy a PS2? I have been playing XBOX with friends in college and it seems a lot better than PS2. If I do get the XBOX 360, should I get the core system or up-the-ante and get the full package one? Guys, its on you, what should I do? I need some gaming opinions right here. Why would you buy a PS2? Support for that system will last no more than 1 1/2 to 2 more years. XBOX 360 is a lot more cheaper than PS3. I would just go to a gaming website, say ign.com or gamespot.com pull up the detailed specs of each system and then buy the one that is more tailored to what you want out of a console. Don't forget about Nintendo's Wii either, although I don't think it's going to cater to sports gaming that much. And if you get the 360, there is no reason to NOT buy the better package. -
QUOTE(Hatchetman @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) reminds me of brady anderson. You mean as a suspected roid user?

White Sox scored 11 runs in the Detroit series
chaerulez replied to Chisoxrd5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah, this isn't going to win games. Look at the Yankees, they are on pace to hit the lowest HR totals since the O'Neill-Brosius days, and look where those teams ended up. -
I agree the offense gave Jon some wins he didn't deserve, so I would say it's all evened out.

Still no Pat Foley thread?
chaerulez replied to The Critic's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Pat Foley was the only good thing left that the Blackhawks had going for them. They had their history and Pat Foley. One is now gone and a team's history can only draw so much. I can't believe leagues don't step in and force owners to sell when they obviously can't run a team. -
"Oh we're live..." Classic.

Didn't Gload have some sort of shoulder operation and pretty much limited his arm strength?

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) Nintendo has never really made games that break the bend. They have Mario, Metroid Prime and Zelda...outside of that they rarely, if ever, have a big hit. I'm going to have to disagree. Pokemon has been a huge money making machine for them recently. Nintendo also has Star Fox, Donkey Kong, and Kirby to name a few more successful franchises. They made a lot more successful games than Microsoft and Sony combined.

Great looking game, horrible cover, do they know Redick was not a top 10 pick?

Bears come to Phoenix October 16.
chaerulez replied to BHAMBARONS's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
How is this a Monday Night Football game? -
Didn't Gload have shoulder surgery in the offseason? I don't know if he can throw a ball far enough to play in the OF. I'd say a platoon of Pods and Ozuna should be what happens in LF.

Classic Ozzie.
-
Hopefully Ozzie won't take another Red Sox or Yankee, already too many of those fools in the game.

It's a shame that Holmes can't get a steady timeslot. He should replace either Murph or North. Actually at least Murph can provide some baseball insight, but North is not qualified to talk about sports anywhere.

McNair Bound For Baltimore
chaerulez replied to greasywheels121's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Don't understand the point of this. How is McNair going to be heathly enough to play more than 5 games? I don't think he physically can. I would've given up no higher than a sixth round pick. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:34 PM) He also throws a regular knuckleball. It's a shame he doesn't have total confidence in all his pitches. Usually you'll see him throw his 95-101MPH fastball, his hard breaking curve, his tighter less breaking curve and his cut fastball. Jenks throws a regular knuckler? When has he done that? It would be funny to see him follow up a 100 mph fastball with a 50 mph dancing knuckler.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 02:23 AM) Zito Career ERA+ = 129 Buehrle Career ERA+ = 128 Therefore Zito is hella better. Also coincidentally, Buehrle debuted 6 games before Zito in '00. What? I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not, but Zito isn't "hella better" than Buehrle.

Who cares about Cubs attendence? The Sox are drawing fine, not selling out every game, but we didn't expect to, but the crowds sure have increased. More winning seasons by the Sox and more losing seasons by the Cubs will eventually change that.

are you kidding me? 60 mil

Has Daly even made 60 million in his life?
