Was I just sleepy last night or did we see something about the Phillies jumping back into the Machado sweepstakes? If the Phillies are truly back in then I wonder what their offer is looking like?

Good morning, everyone! Have any of our sources popped up with ANY news and either way I'm hoping this ends soon!

If it is a full court press I'm hoping for a strong White Sox offer and wouldn't an announcement of a signing be great tonight! It's still D-Day (or night).

Oh but some of those Bill Veeck years were exciting and something to remember. Southside Hitmen, Disco Demolition, 1959, exploding scoreboard, and last but not least Dick Allen (who had his faults, but when he walked to the plate that was exciting enough!)

I made my post more in jest than anything else! I don't know how long you have been a Sox fan, but I've been around since the 1959 World Series, so I have been through many ups and downs (more downs than ups). A little over reaction on your side to call people pussies over a site post. I have posted many times that I hope the Sox step up and sign Machado and I'll be the first to congratulate JR, RH and KW if they do. Now they need to get it done for us fans!

I hope so and I agree with you. Make the offer for $300M and make him a member of the White Sox. Forget leverage and get it done!

A couple of us earlier suggested to offer $300M and we were told not to be so fast, to not give away leverage. Now we're up to $325.

Yea, if Machado thinks he will get 325 from the Sox we may as well go on to Plan B
