  2. Hopefully this will be the last celebration of Cub nation
  3. I'm soo glad it's finally over. The only thing that could make this season even more aggonizing is if the Cubs were to............................. Never mind
  4. I'd rather have Owens in CF next year than DeJesus. I'd rather not see anymore Ex-Royals (trades or signings)
  5. This really hurts Jose's chance at losing 20 games
  6. I gave up looking at the standings about a month ago. For some reason I looked today and I knew we were terrible, but I didn't realize there are only 2 teams in MLB with a record worst then us
  7. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 07:34 AM) You do realize Rogo is hitting .236 in Charlotte right? I can't even imagine what that would translate to up here. Casey has been playing alot of LF this year, but yeah, his average is .236 mostly from a terrible 1st half. I sure wish the Cubs would have taken Pods
  8. We need to put some distance between Us and the Royals Go Javy
  9. I'd really like to see Heath Phillips given a start or 2 in September. He hasn't pitched great this year 10-7 4.53 ERA, but he was the Iternational League Pitcher of the year last year with a 13-5 record and an ERA of 2.96.
  10. QUOTE(AirScott @ Aug 14, 2007 -> 08:46 AM) Khalil Greene would be a good power hitter for us (he has 19 homers in Petco Park), but he missed 41 games in each of the last two seasons and I don't know if you can expect him to hit for average. Plus he strikes out a lot. So I'd rather not trade Garland for him. Sounds too much like our Shortstop now.
  11. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 13, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) DJ is taking the longest maternity leave ever taken for a male. I work with a guy who is on week 6 of a 12 week maternity leave. His wife had no problems delivering, but he took the whole 12 weeks of on-paid Family Leave. I heard he's just laying around playing PlayStation and getting Fatter. I wish DJ would take the full 12 weeks.
  12. QUOTE(JPN366 @ Aug 12, 2007 -> 04:10 AM) Is that a pic of Collaro's or Bourgeois' gear, Jim? Collaro wasn't called up yet when that picture was taken. It's actually..................................... David Aardma's gear.
  13. He's a righthander. He was just messing around during warm-ups in that photo.
  14. QUOTE(JPN366 @ Aug 11, 2007 -> 01:31 AM) Saw him play a lot in B'ham the first two months of the season. Clutch hitter late in games. Three game winning hits in the first month of the season. Fast as hell. Above average defensively at second and third. Very good in the outfield. Short and a little stocky. A slight temper, but not too much. All around good ballplayer. I saw him play 3 times with the Knights and I would agree. I know he was in the Rangers organization and was supose to replace Soriono at some point, but not sure what happened there
  15. Girls, Girls, Girls - Montley Crue Welcome to the Jungle - Guns n Roses
  16. The Mariners have been "Red Hot".................... I hope Javy brings his A game.
  17. Pretty sad. 1 week into August and that's what we're shooting for a .500 record I'd have to agree that they are way too inconsistent, but I would sure like to see them finish above .500
  18. I sure hope Jon Garland pitches tonight and not Judy Garland
  19. My son told Ehern that we watched him in the All-Star game the night before and he said, " I guess I did Ok". I told him he pitched a scorless inning and he said, "Yeah, but I did walk 2". He told us about his flight out the morning after. Just seemed like he really appreciated where he was at.
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 6, 2007 -> 10:36 AM) Anyone have any current info on him? I know he's with B'Ham, but is he "stick a fork in him" done? He actually was with the Knights before his call up. He was the knights lone All-Star replacing Gavin Floyd. I got a chance to talk to him the day after the All-Star game and he seemed like a nice humble young man.
  21. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Why would Detroit want him, over Carlos Guillen? They would move Guillen to 1B
