  1. 3-3 on the Homestand or 4-2. 4-2 sounds alot better
  2. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) Another 0'fer for Joe Crede, this time 0-4 (couple of groundouts, couple of popouts), he's now 0-12 overall. Maybe Paulie could give him some pointers on how to hit AAA pitching
  3. I went to 4 games in 2 years were Danny Wright pitched or Josh Stewart pitched. I'm surprised I'm still a Sox fan Needless to say, the Sox lost all 4 games.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 08:36 PM) I forgot to mention Whisler. I guess that's because he's something like the Josh Stewart of the group, although hopefully better. Josh seemed like a nice kid, it was a shame what happened to him with the injuries and lack of confidence that resulted. My son's 1st Sox game ever, Josh pitched. I surprised he's still a Sox fan
  5. Haeger is 9-12 with a 4.63 ERA this year. I'd rather see Egbert or Whistler before Haeger.
  6. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 07:55 PM) Charlotte v Indy Fields 2-3 2 run HR Crede 0-3 2 fly-outs and a double play
  7. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) Charlotte takin' on Norfolk, Egbert pitching, whatever: Egbert 6 innings so far 1 unearned run (Fields error #11) 4Ks no walks.
  8. I wish we could play the Pirates and the Reds 18 times each We'd have a record as good as the Scrubs
  9. I believe Fox is carrying the Aug. 23rd game.
  10. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 08:40 PM) Charlotte v Norfolk Cook 2-4 2K Fields 0-4 2K Knights shut-out 4-0 Wassermann 1.38 ERA now Childers strikes out the side in the 8th 1.17 ERA now Sure wish they could do that against major leaguers
  11. The A's are a very bad team. With that said, Let's Play like a team that's in 1st place (tied) and kick some ASS
  12. When we traded Mr. Change-up for Koch I thought wow we got a hard throwing stud reliever. Man, was I soo wrong
  13. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) wow,steve dahl!!that takes me way back!haven t been to Chicago since 1989 Steve Dahl is still going strong on Chicago Radio. However, he just dosen't seem as funny as he did when I was in Junior High
  14. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 10:12 PM) High school, a friend and i went to see some movie and tried to sneak in beer he got. Dumbass got Molsen, but no bottle opener. So after we got done with the movie we chugged them and went to Shakey's. it was a friday night, so you canimagine the place full of fellow high schoolers. Only not ours. To date myself, i was wearing my brand new, white Members Only jacket, when a huge blob of ketsup landed on the table right next to me, splattering all over my once white coat. i stand up, turn and see 3 guys wearing Bishop Knoll letterman jackets laughing, one stands up and says "well, what! You f**" So I clocked him, hard, knocked him onto a table like a scene in Roadhouse. I then said to him something like "That, you Bishop Knoll f**". Well, wouldn't you know it, the whole place was filled with people from Bishop Knoll. Then all hell broke loose, my friend asking me if this was my way of getting even with him for forgetting a bottle opener. He was a pretty good sized guy and ended up taking out 5 or 6 before the cops got there. I managed to knock down one more before I started getting beat to hell. Got a broken nose and a few fingers than night, along with a night in the pokey. Dad was pissed. Man, I loved Shakey's We could always get served there when I was 19
  15. about 75% German the other 25% French and Black-foot Indian
  16. The A's are not the same team we saw in early July. With that said, Gavin pitches a 3 hit shut-out (3 singles to Frank )
  17. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 09:05 AM) Broadway can't come back up for 10 days. Clayton Richard was recalled, but they want him for the bullpen. I don't know who is gonna start on tuesday. Maybe someone else from AAA. Egbert? Egbert is 4-10 with a 4.68 ERA, but he does strike-out alot of guys (105 to just 35 walks). The only other starter, Whistler is 11-8 but has lost his last 3 starts. Maybe Tomo Ohka
  18. How about Ron LeFlore?? Charlie Hough?? Jerry Reuss??
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 03:56 PM) Getz is starting at 2B and batting 9th. Let's Go Chris
  20. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 03:51 PM) I haven't been following the minors closely, but everyone says he didn't look good at all this season. I saw him pitch in Louisville in July and he was perfect for the 1st 3 innings, but the 2nd time around the Bats figured it was better to lay off his off-speed stuff and he was forced to throw is fastball (which maybe topped out at 92mph). He ended up giving up 6 runs in the next 2 innings.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) It was a sad day when Lemon got dealt to Detroit. I remember being upset when they traded him for Steve Kemp, I thought there goes our only All-Star.
  22. He looks better in this uniform anyway
  23. I got to see him pitch against the Twins in the 1st game of a DH. I was just 10 years old and we lost. He also warmed up in the 2nd game but never came in.
  24. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) The Sox most fans were used to was the Go-Go Sox but guys like Luzinski, Kittle, Bill Melton, Dick Allen, Oscar Gamble, Harold Baines , Carlton Fisk and Richie Zisk added punch to the lineups of the 70's and 80's. Zisk and Gamble "Southside Hitmen" 1977 I was just a youngster, but man did I get excited watching them on channel 44. The Bull and the rest of the "Winning Ugly" team was pretty exciting also.
