  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 05:51 PM) gavin's not long for this game He's already got 49 pitches
  2. Josh knew Sunday he was going to get the call. My 10 year old son told him Before the game in Louisville my son was getting Josh's autograph and he told Josh that last year when he talked to him in Indianapolis he was called-up the next day. Josh smiled and said, " Hopefully your good luck for me". My son told him he was going to get the call real soon. Welcome Back Josh
  3. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) Or the fact that we don't make trades within the division. Kenny Williams has only done it once since 2001 and that was with KC for MacDougal. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/files/chicag...ox_williams.xls What about Gload for Sisco?
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 03:13 AM) like a .265 average and he doesn't draw walks...basically meaning he'd be lucky to put up Fields' line from last season. He's pretty much the truest defintion of a AAAA player. Yes he's pretty much a AAAA player, but his numbers sure would look good if they were Paulie's
  5. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 10:40 PM) Brad Eldred back in the lineup after a broken hand kept him out for the last month or so. goes 1-3 For being out for a month, he still leads the International League with 72 RBIs and he's 2nd in HRs with 26 (Mike Hessman for Toledo has 30)
  6. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 03:10 AM) The only problem with him is that he hits lefty and his batting average against righties is .083 this year at Charlotte. So not the ideal backup for A.J. You got his split backwards, he's batting .083 against lefties, .548 against righties.
  7. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 10:29 PM) Knights win 6-3 in 10 Bourgeois 4-6, RBI, 2 R, 2 SB Richar 1-6, 2-run HR Fields 1-4, BB, K, SB Getz 1-4, 2B, RBI, BB, E Cole Armstrong hit a Monster 2 run HR in the 10th Carlos Torres made his 1st start for the Knights 4 1/3, he threw alot of strikes (no BB), but they were hitable strikes Jason Childers pitched 2 scoreless for the victory, he's 4-1 now with a 1.28 era
  8. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 01:00 AM) Charlotte loses to Louisville 5-2[/url] Haeger with the L now 8-8. Fields 2-4 with a 2B Jon Adkins got his 15th save for the Bats
  9. Well we got some innings out of Carrasco (in one game) while he was up, but I too am glad they stuck with the Vulture.
  10. QUOTE (FranktheTank35 @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 02:24 AM) This will be a good one! I think we'll win it though, maybe like 4-1, 4-2. I feel Dye will have a good game.. let's find out! You think if we're winning 4-1 in the 8th we see Swish at 1st and Brian in CF Let's go SOX
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 07:41 PM) "Louisville Bats designated hitter Rob Mackowiak ejected by HP umpire Damien Beal" He's not the only Ex-Sox player on the Bats roster. Jon Atkins is their closer. Rob did hit a HR in the game. Knights lost 6-1
  12. The odds of Buehrle going to the Hall are pretty good.... As a vistor just like you and I
  13. In the middle of June Thome was batting .216 for the season. He's now up to .253. Paulie's highest was .234 which he was at the 1st week of May. He's now at .217 the lowest on the team. Rotating the 2 of them NO, giving Paulie 2 more weeks to see if he can break his funk YES. If he can't break it, he can sit next to Juan on the bench.
  14. Derek Rodriquez has pitched well since moving up from Birmingham ( 1.59 ERA in 8 games). I wonder why he's only pitched in relief this year with the Barons and the Knights? He was 14-5 as a starter last year at Winston-Salem.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 06:48 PM) I'd love to know who your 5 are because I can think of 3 maybe 4 tops. Not only is Thome's average up to .253 but his OPS is at .887 and he's doing the majority of his damage on the road. Crede and Quentin are already picked (even though I wouldn't pick Crede), Linebrink, Dye, and AJ would make 5.
