  1. NIce DP. Hope he gets out of this unscathed.
  2. I have a question regarding attendance on Family Sunday's- we're looking to get a group of about 12 for 8/19 v. Royals. Is this something that we should look at purchasing ahead of time, or are we good with walking up? Don't need the best seats in the house, but don't want the crummiest, either. Appreciate any guidance.
  3. Let us hope that Ricky isn't around by that point.
  4. Regarding Rodon- what is stopping the Sox from paying him once he does reach FA? A common sentiment expressed here on these boards is that the Sox will have a plethora of monies to spend when the time comes for it. I don't know that Rodon is going to get cartoon deals thrown at his feet from all directions. He'll be significantly more expensive, yes, but not to the point that it can be concluded he is gone after his current contract is up.
  5. Pretty much, as long as he keeps the mouth breathers riled up about dem dur Muslims and Mexicans, I have a hard time seeing how there won't be 6 more years of this.
  6. This is true, and should certainly be considered (that is what the FO is paid to do). As you said though, hopefully at that point you have a really good roster. He would just be the trump card. If things go well, I don't think you absolutely need Harper, Machado, or Trout to win. It would certainly be nice, though.
  7. Trout is a FA in 2020, yes? If there was ever a guy to throw Fort Knox at- screw Machado and Harper. Would probably be more in line with this hypothetical window for the Sox as well.
  8. Didn't Hector Santiago make a spot start at some point this year? I feel like he did, but the 2018 season has just been one awful blur, so I could be imagining it.
  9. Really not a fan of the flickering lights after a win that some teams have taken to. Hope the Sox don't jump on that bandwagon.
  10. ...at least it wasn't one of him as a centaur.
  11. Yeah, there is that... I just can't see the Sox throwing that kind of money at anything.
  12. Selfishly hope it's the Phillies. Whoever it is, I hope they re-sign him to end any chance of Machado being a Cub.
  13. Signed. He certainly seems capable of it, so as long as he can stay healthy. Can't imagine him getting anything on the market the Sox can't afford to stick their neck out for.
  14. Shellacked them in 2006. I was certain at that point the Sox would repeat. Then, their 80 win team went on to win a championship while the Sox 90 win team missed the playoffs entirely.
  15. Didn't catch today's game, but had the chance to tune in yesterday. There was plenty of that, and it's well deserved.
  16. I would like "not too distant future" to mean 2019.
