  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) I knew I had felt a sudden strong breeze...
  2. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 11:41 AM) Classy move by Guillen: @CST_soxvan Daryl Van Schouwen Guillen on report that Reinsdorf assured Williams he will return as GM: He deserves it. He's doing a good job. Yeah I think he wanted to drive that point in with the lineups he was putting out.
  3. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 05:01 AM) Just finished Deus Ex Human Revolution. The ending was terrible I thought. Boss Battles were also pretty bad, but the rest of the game was pretty good. Damn, I just got to the first boss the other day. Tried the fight once and lasted all of like a minute. I won't be too upset about a bad ending if the majority of the game plays like it has up until this point (sans the boss). Have you played the first one?
  4. I thought the limo scene was a little bit over the top. It was hilarious when Frank offered her the egg though. Funniest part for me was Dennis and Dee when the hooker was laying on the floor smoking crack.
  5. I was listening to the "Grobstein takes calls from the stupid and blackout drunk show" on 670 and thought I heard him say they weren't eliminated from Wild Card yet- just the Division. I know that was the plan all along. The Sox just feel bad for the people that live in Detroit because they have to live in Detroit, so they gave them something to be temporarily happy about. The laws of karma dictate that Sox will meet Detroit in the ALCS and sweep them even with Verlander going in Games 1 and 4.
  6. Damnit, tonight is the first day for one of my classes. They don't typically replay a season premiere, do they?
  7. Phillies first to clinch with their win over Houston today.
  8. They're planning to launch it (unmanned) in 2017? Seems just a little too ambitious.
  9. http://www.wsbt.com/chi-white-sox-release-...0,5461303.story Opening 4/6 at Rangers, Indians. Home opener 4/13 against Tigers. Visit Cardinals, Dodgers. Milwaukee comes to town.
  10. rachael_ray rachael ray Delicious day at work with @tyrabanks. Wait till you see what this girl does with whip cream on
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) And his personal photographer is smoking. Not a doubt in my mind that he's been there, done that.
  12. QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 19, 2011 -> 01:44 AM) my little title thing changed to "Lowes, Ed?" This is excellent.
  13. If the story about Kenny blowing up at him are true, I can't imagine him wanting to come back to the Sox (provided Kenny remains GM). I assume that is what he means by using the early part of the offseason to decide- to see if Williams remains. I've left a job where I couldn't stand the environment only to take the same position for less money at a different company. I was much happier at the new place, and I'd do it again 100% of the time in a heartbeat.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) Philly host Arizona Milwaukee hosts Atlanta Thanks. I went up to Miller Park this weekend and remembered how awesome it is to attend a meaningful baseball game. Perhaps I'll venture up north again come October.
  15. If the current NL standings hold true for the remainder of the year, who plays who in the NLDS?
  16. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 9, 2011 -> 07:14 PM) I'm watching this while peeking in at Phils and Brewers. The only way to describe the Phils is invincible. I'm heading up to Milwaukee tomorrow for this. Worried about getting merked by Brewer fans.
  17. Juan taking the GIDP out of Alexei's hands with a run scoring double.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) You can tell how much his teammates like him by their reaction last night Juan was left on base that inning, so he just went straight to his spot in LF. As he was getting there a bunch of guys came out of the dugout to shake his hand and congratulate him in addition to those heading out to their respective positions on the field. I like the guy and feel bad for him because he's been shat on from both sides of town, yet remains a professional and works hard to do his job. He's probably not back with the Sox next year, but I wish him well wherever he does end up.
