I'm watching this Brewers/Dodgers game- it must be fun to be a Brewers fan this year. They're pretty legit at home. I'll be catching the Phils up there in September.

Wow, I turned the game on at 7:13 hoping I didn't miss much. Bases loaded, no out, 1-0 already. Evidently I did.

Over the years I've come to the realization that onions are one of the best toppings on a pizza. Combine them with sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom. People have written poems about how beautiful that is.

Something interesting is that while the riots were taking place- much of the media included quotes from this politician or that police officer pointing a finger at "feral, lawless youth". I read an article yesterday detailing the initial court appearances by many of the rioters who were caught, and it mentioned that on the contrary, a good portion of those who had charges brought against them were typical people. Teachers, post-officers, lifeguards, an 11 year old child were the examples given. Oldest they mentioned was a 53 year old with an otherwise pristine record. Hmmm....

I think the Nats will be fine once they peel themselves from the bottom. I want TB to thrive, and my family has a summer (winter?) place down in Seminole, so that may be for selfish reasons, but the Trop is a pretty hideous place for baseball. I was pretty excited when they came up with this concept art: I just get the feeling that nothing will ever come of it until the FL economy picks it up (and if the team is still around).
