Well thats a shocker.

Favre is/was my favorite football player. It's understood that a gamer like him won't quit easy, but it needs to happen. Returning after you retire has cheapened many an illustrious career in most major sports. I think we've had front row seats to that show before...

I know, I was mocking the delay. There were times where shows from days past were aired though, or the same show twice in a row. They didn't care.

The sharp decline in people over the last 20 years alone is astonishing. I can, but don't want to imagine what it will be like in another 20. Took the train downtown today and lost my phone. When I got back I had to call for a ride and I asked 4 people at the station if I could use their cell, even offered money. Shockingly, no one had one! Except 5 minutes later one of them was outed when his 43498 decibel symphony of a ringtone went off. I looked at him, shook my head and just walked home. Somewhere (I think Maryland) recently a guy was hit by a car in the street. People saw it, but no one stopped to help. Cars actually drove around him. And of course, the woman dying in the ER waiting room and everyone looks the other way. Well, not really. They looked directly at her. One employee even walked over to nudge her with her foot.

I enjoy the pairing. On topic, Patrick on an 8 day tape delay on 670 is the closest thing to a replacement for ESPNs ill advised axe on Rome 8 day tape delay for that time slot. Nowhere near as good, but it's something...

I'm very appreciative of what Swish has done for us lately. Swisher has been one of my favorites in the game for 2 years now. That said, Q rests today, and Swish is a runner LOB.

Awesome job, offense. Whew, sure is tough making up a 4 run deficit with a one man batting order and a Shell gas station filled with pyros pitching on the mound. By offense I meant Offense Quentin. Sorry I don't know him so I shouldn't be referring to him by first name only.

The mindless banter is what makes it entertaining. I like character in my broadcasts- if I wanted to hear strict play-by-play I'd go on gameday and read the pitch by pitch out loud. Farmer and Stone do a hell of a job. Dry as a desert humor+baseball knowledge=something I want to listen to.

Ozzie Guillen at short is probably more of a reality, but Frank comes back, I buy pro-rated season tickets.

My gut tells me Harden will be just fine health-wise. Every trade I've heard regarding cublets aquiring a SP involved Cedeno in addition to what they gave up. I really hope Beane either knew he was shafting them, or keeps his charity open long enough for us to get Street for 1/2 off. Maybe he'll throw in a Gio too!
