  1. All because Maddon went for an even-number out save.
  2. Ortiz definitely just cited CLE's TWTW as the reason they won during his press conference.
  3. Very happy for Gillaspie- glad to see him do well. Hope he sprays 4 or 5 more at the bleacher bums or people walking on Waveland over the next few days.
  4. Meh. Wasn't LaRoche a fan favorite in Washington during his time there?
  5. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) If we're ever in that situation, I hope Rick Renteria watched this and took notes HA! What would we be without wishful thinking.
  6. All of the damn Odor signs in the crowd made this feel like I was back in 8th grade watching WWF. Glad Showalter did what he did, because Rangers/Jays is hella the more appealing of the two matchups.
  7. Minnesota Twins v. Chicago White Sox Duffey (9-11, 6.18) at Rodon (8-10, 4.08) 7:05 CSN+ Tix Available The Sox will attack the next three games with vigor and purpose; upon sweeping this division rival they will even further clinch their second best record under Robin Ventura. All of this is taking place just in time to erase any and all concerns that arose with a recent USA Today article painting the organization as supportive of and committed to his reign. News broke yesterday that they will even throw Sale on Sunday for this very reason. TRENDING UPWARDS FOREVER SINCE 2013
  8. Whatever it was, I enjoyed seeing it rear it's head with the playoffs just days away.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 12:16 PM) My only hope is the Sox actually met, know they are parting ways, but agreed to let Robin be the one to own the terms of departure. This- I'm going to cling to the "providing Ventura wants to return" portion of the sentence with both hands until the press conference announcing an extension.
  10. It'd be hilarious if they swept the rest of the season largely in part to great performances by guys like Shields, Garcia(s), Sanchez and Shuck.
  11. I'm watching some, but still keeping them on the radio whenever I can. There are always a few cold and dark days scattered throughout the winter where I realize that I miss and would like nothing more than to watch an inning or two of KC or Cleveland shellacking Sox pitching, and that it will be months before I can.
  12. Six wounded at Houston shopping center. Shooter dead.
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 10:16 AM) How did this steaming pile of crap get 4 prime time games this season? Something had to have angered the NFL about the way the Draft was run, and the city is paying for it on a national level.
  14. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 5, 2016 -> 12:29 AM) This isn't just at Cubs games...This is literally EVERYWHERE in today' society. As a 25 year old I hate going out with people taking pics and videos and just sitting on their phone. Live in the moment. I lost my phone at Red Rocks prior to a show, and after realizing there wasn't a thing I could possibly do until after, put it in the back of my mind and tried to enjoy the show. It was one of the better shows of the year for me, and as a bonus, phone was recovered afterwards (Drop an iPhone, people will scramble for it, drop a Windows Phone, it will be left where it is or turned into lost and found).
  15. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Aug 25, 2016 -> 04:45 PM) At the very least, Narvaez has solidified the backup catcher role. It's not like there's any competition for the spot. Well, there is still the actual wall/backstop that separates the field of play from seating areas...in year's past, at least some of the motley crew this organization has brought in to catch should have been let go in favor of that less traditional method. It's nice to see Narvaez looking as competent as he does.
  16. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 01:17 PM) For some reason, they aren't blacked out on mlbtv. More trouble than it's worth?
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 01:12 PM) rickbozich ‏@rickbozich 3h3 hours ago Zack Burdi's first pro season in books -- 51 Ks, 23 hits in 38 innings. He's bound for Louisville & classes, not @whitesox -- yet. #L1C4. Nice, but this is still the first thing I picture when I hear his name.
  18. Voted Curb. I'm watching Sopranos, but only through 2 seasons so far. Game of Thrones is just not my cup of tea- doesn't do anything for me. I actively disliked Entourage. Apart from those, I've only also seen Eastbound (I like it, only saw the first season and a handful of season two).
