My mood is very much turning apathetic, not just in regards to the s*** on the field- but going forward into the off-season and next year.

Mostly went to see some shows. Flew out to Denver to do Denver things and to see My Morning Jacket play a pair at Red Rocks, Phish played two at Wrigley, saw Guns N Roses at Soldier Field. This weekend is the crescendo with Pearl Jam playing Wrigley on Saturday and Monday, and Wilco at Pritzker Pavilion sandwiched in between on Sunday. Also caught more Sox games than I have since I held split season tickets, but that'll be it for this year's rendition of a dumpster on fire unless I decided to go for more Polish w/ grilled onions. Still planning on a 3-4 day trip to Cedar Point, Kennywood and Kings Island before September is up.

No way that was an accident. Reminds me a bit of how Nancy Faust would get creative with the oppositions walk-up music prior to an AB. A bit less subtle in this case.

Yeah, I don't know that I'd go as far as saying he ruined every good Sox moment of the past 15 years with his act. Besides, the real Sox moments aren't No-Hitters, Perfect Games, Playoff-related baseball... People praise Vin Scully for shutting up and letting the moment do the talking, but then turn around and s*** on Hawk for doing the same thing. Not his fault that those moments are usually starting-pitching gems that are regularly invalidated by the "offense", or mind-numbing, monumental late inning collapses capped off either by towering home runs or bases-loaded walks that everyone watching the game knows are coming.

New banner proposal in light of recent trade deadline adventures: I'm fine with not moving the big pieces- I'd rather hold than sell just to sell, but there were others around baseball moving around similar to guys the Sox chose not to move for whatever reason.
