  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 10:26 AM) It's so sad that we know what's going to come out from the Sox if/when they don't do nothing today. Sad, but it's an entirely valid reason if the returns aren't what they need to be.
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 09:52 AM) Jayson StarkVerified account ‏@jaysonst A source who said yesterday the chances of Chris Sale getting dealt were under 5 percent says again this morning "under 5 percent" ok, turning twitter off.
  3. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 08:36 AM) But that's not going to stop Soxtalk from saying "we could have have Benintendi, Moncada, and Kopech for Sale. Hahn is such an idiot." I have no problems with Sale not moving today unless returns like this were actually on the table.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 10:00 AM) 100 hours until the deadline. I'll be happy with standing pat if they can reel off 10-12 straight W's in the next 100 hours.
  5. I smell an even split for this year's edition of Cubs v. Sox.
  6. I could actually see this becoming a thing.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 12:25 PM) After tonight, the Sox play 17 of the next 20 away from the Cell. Hope the players don't revolt in protest. Or play a revolting style of baseball.
  8. Fresh off the heels of a 4 game split with Detroit that feels like the Sox got swept. I'd say it's time to find a rock and hide under it, but that was back in May this year.
  9. I hope they profanely hang up the phone for anything less than a clear overpay for either Sale or Quintana.
  10. Initially I was in favor of dealing both, but I think I'd rather just see Q dealt for the time being . See what he can get and take it from there. I'd rather see the FO get had at the expense of Quintana than Sale if that's what it came to- which is not an unlikely outcome. It would sting less if they did.
  11. lol @ Cabrera triple. A stolen base today as well.
  12. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jul 18, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) Time to sell anything not bolted to the floor! There's a joke somewhere in there about Avi the outfielder.
  13. I like to think that the 9:10 start is to give everyone more time to absorb the going-ons of the weekend series, and not just because of time zones.
  14. That was a real pathetic showing by the team the last two series. The LAA series felt like it belonged right in the middle of the wretched stretch that began in Texas and ended in Boston.
  15. 9:05 PM openers to both halves of the season. Hopefully they can take it and run for an extended period again. Maybe they can use opening at LAA as inspiration for prolonged stupid-good baseball like the Cubs did.
  16. at Gonzalez (2-4, 4.39 ERA) v. Santiago (6-4, 4.59 ERA) And here... we... go. Morneau will be there. Hawkarooski and Fulmer as well.
  17. Not a big fan of his. Also, heroics at one's last ASG are cliche at this point.
