  1. QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 26, 2015 -> 09:21 PM) No names would shock me. Verily. Why the lack of NBAers anytime something like this comes around?
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 24, 2015 -> 05:46 PM) This is awesome. Now I don't have to have nightmares about KW signing him to play SS anymore. Yes, I'll gladly not worry about the Sox winding up with him for some reason anymore.
  3. QUOTE (blackmooncreeping @ Dec 23, 2015 -> 02:56 PM) Olt is brutal, not worth it for a brick glove at 3rd and the off chance that his bat runs into a fastball once a month for a HR. This statement should be photoshopped onto the banner at the top of the page.
  4. Had the radio on and heard a bit of the DePaul game on 670. Zach Zaidman (PBP call) appears to be pretty damn enthusiastic about DePaul basketball...almost to the point where it can't possibly be good for his health.
  5. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Dec 21, 2015 -> 06:30 PM) I'll be completely open & say, I'm not a fan of signing Gordon. Is he a good player? Yes. His age & limitations to LF don't really scream "smart signing" to me... Concur.
  6. Southpaw is a terrifying thing.
  7. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 21, 2015 -> 09:28 AM) What is the Sox fall back OF plan ? /green
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 21, 2015 -> 08:04 AM) Except for 2011-2014, there has been Cubs "fever" since 1984. If there is spillover to the White Sox, it is minimal. I think if your kid wants to go to a Cubs game, but you get them Sox tickets, the look on their face would be the same as if the wanted an IPad, and you bought them a $75 piece of crap tablet. The Cubs bandwagon keeps growing. Yes, the White Sox are going to be flying well under the radar in Chicago in 2016. That is not necessarily bad. Just win and everything will take care of itself. Make the Score talk about you. If they don't have to, they won't. Oh, they'll definitely talk about the Sox- Cubs have them on their schedule 4 times this year. Also, Baez & a bag of baseballs for Chris Sale trade proposals.
  9. QUOTE (Sockin @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 09:36 AM) On now. FWIW, Holmes said last night the Sox declined to be on the Score to discuss the trade yesterday. They were on ESPN 1000 yesterday however. If I were Hahn, I'd take a pass on Holmes' show as well.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 12:00 PM) If that is really her photo on her twitter page, I believe everything she says. Yes, I believe those look like credible sources.
  11. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:25 AM) As of now, Avi is back to being a starting OF. I get the feeling that they want to give him more time before pegging him as a platoon OF or giving up and moving him.
  12. Giants are scheduled to be in the World Series this year.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 09:31 AM) Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 1h1 hour ago todd frazier @FlavaFraz21 talks heating up. chisox, Indians interested (& others listed in here) http://cbsprt.co/1QhhZy6 I would not be disappointed if nothing came of this.
  14. QUOTE (professa @ Dec 13, 2015 -> 11:56 PM) Shortly after the season we all know the Sox announced Hawk would only be doing road games next year, and someone else would be taking over to do the home games. Unless I'm missing something, I'm kinda surprised that this hasn't been announced yet. Any guesses on who they may be looking at? The list of candidates has been put out there. Like mentioned, probably going to be a year of musical chairs.
  15. Yeah, that was a rather fortunate turn of events for them.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 02:54 PM) Don't listen to Mike Murphy I miss Murph on the Score, but he can be a loon. Not the aquatic bird.
  17. Michael Cuddyer looks to be retiring. Might the Mets look into Fowler/re-visit Cespedes?
  18. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) Not the fact they're being compared just that the title makes it sound like a pay per view fight haha mma is poo edit: Literally.
  19. Off the bat, I was going to suggest you could probably throw a stone at the 2007 roster and hit some candidates- but when you consider how many players have worn a Sox uniform even since 2007, and going back before even to 1990 (and this is applicable to all teams, really), I'm not so sure anymore. I'm amused and also sad to realize that even when looking at complete rosters from as recently as 2007-present, there are quite a few that were erased from my memory. For good reason.
  20. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 08:09 PM) I'm guessing people saw JB and just assumed shuck. Not sure why Oakland would want him. But this is a great deal either way. Really surprised that's all it took Actually, I just about forgot about JB Shuck being on the team. But this is wonderful- I thought Oakland would definitely manage more than that from someone for Lawrie.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:44 PM) David Murphy? This f***ing Guy Murphy as he's known on the Northside.
  22. QUOTE (GREEDY @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 10:06 AM) Am I the only person that thinks if you trade one pitcher you should try and move both of them? I think I've become less opposed to this over time.
  23. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 10:28 PM) I think there are a lot of moving parts to every trade and people shouldn't just assume Q can get a similar package from another team or even would have gotten the same package from Arizona. This is probably 100% accurate and should be considered before beginning to compile fantastical returns for Quintana (or even Sale).
  24. I don't think I'd be thrilled with this if I were a Cub fan. I like it from here, though.
  25. My favorite John Lackey memory is when Carlos Quentin deposited two of his offerings into the outfield seats at the Cell in 2008 on Sunday Night Baseball. I was at that game with 3 Cub fans.
