The proper way to announce a retirement is in March just prior to the regular season, so as to give all the teams on your road schedule ample time to prepare gifts and a video board montage- so maybe he's making an announcement that he's going to make an announcement in Spring Training that he's going to retire.

18 innings and nearly 7 hours at the Trop probably qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment in some states despite the fact that it was a win against a Baltimore team that is nipping at TB's heels in the Wild Card race.

Meh. Since the Twins conceded early may as well see the Sox launch a few into the bleachers. It's cool how the ball bounces all over the place since there is all of 3 people and a few dogs out there.
