  1. Dumb question, maybe, but what happened to Aaron Poreda? Why didn't he become anything?
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) Now they just went for it on 4th and 16 from the 19. Practicing game situations.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 02:05 PM) The Pats are up 31-0 and still going for it on 4th down at midfield. Bellichick cracks me up. +1
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2010 -> 11:37 AM) Nothilng about PED's, if that's what you're asking. And even if he's scuffing the ball, which I think is what you're implying, that doesn't really explain how good he became. Dude's got talent and finally put it all together.
  5. Hamilton's been lousy defensively this postseason.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 02:01 PM) All those advanced metrics say otherwise. All those advanced metrics are wrong.
  7. Man, this thread died in a hurry.
  8. The first was called "ridiculously long" because that's the author's tag line; it's how you know it's a Posnanski. This one being called "ridiculously long" just ain't right.
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) Don't get too excited. Here's a KW quote: "That's pretty much all I'm going to say on it, because I don't know what the future holds," added Williams. "I don't know how we are going to finish. "We are driven by the revenue stream that comes in. People might not like it but it is what it is. We have to at least be able to be a break-even operation, and try to win at the same time." Better enjoy the next week or so of Manny before he decides to take another vacation, as he and Mark Teahen, may just cost you Konerko. At least KW finally clarified the break even operation. Notice he said "at least". I'm sure the Sox more than break even every year after seeing those leaked financial documents for other teams.
  10. I don't like to say that athletes are role models but Wes Welker is an amazing human being. Dude worked his ass off to get back into the game and on his first play back he gets a five yard catch and scores two touchdowns.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 10:57 AM) Joe Posnanski with a great analysis of the season and splits of J4L's man-crush. Came in to post that. Good to see another Joe Posnanski reader.
