  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) Remember when they drafted Alex Smith and passed on that other QB. What ever happened to that guy? Ha! A Bears fan who wants to make fun of another teams draft picks..........
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:06 PM) Hopefully they don't miss the playoffs for 9 straight years... Because making playoffs but not winning anything is the new standard! I'm sure everyone heard Lovies comments about the playoffs the last five years? The reporter says you've made the playoffs once in the last 5 years, he says no, we've made it once in the last two years........classic!
  3. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:56 PM) ........................... Please show me in that quote where I start bringing up team history?
  4. Yea go back and read, I wasn't the one who started bringing up old news....for the record
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) But I like that last opinion of yours so now I am paying attention again. Threw that in there for a reason, I know we always agree on the Bulls!
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:51 PM) What is wrong with Packers fans? I've never seen a fanbase that is less capable of enjoying a good team humbly. Jeez, when the Bears are good, I'm just thankful. This one piece of s*** coworker I have is a Packers fan (interesting, seeing as he's from the Southside of Chicago). The assbag walks into my office every day talking s*** about the Bears. Since week 10 ended with Jay Cutler's hand exploded, I have told him every time "the Bears season is over, yes, everyone in the world is well-aware that the Packers have a good record." Every time, it does not matter. The cocksucker Packer fan comes back thinking I care. Honestly, what the Packers do doesn't really matter to me. They are clearly a great team, and have been for awhile now. Just enjoy it. No one here is ever saying the Packers are a bad football team. For every one of those Packers fans in the city, there are 5 Bears fans who do the same thing when the Bears are winning...
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:48 PM) That's convenient. In other news, I don't care about your opinion. SO now that THAT'S out of the way... Go Saints! Great, then simply don't respond to my opinion, it's that simple! Go Bulls!
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:45 PM) It wasn't the Bears fans who started that for the record... Who was it?
  9. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:37 PM) Bears were in the NFC championship game last year, lost their starting QB and still lost by one TD to the eventual champs...at least get to the NFC championship this year before talking smack. I don't care about last year, or the year before, I care about now...
  10. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:29 PM) You started the mud slinging, nobody here gives a crap about the 49ers, and you come in saying the Bears will continue to suck no matter who they hire...that's baiting and we responded. I love how a fan of a team that hasn't done anything in over a decade comes here and starts s***.Even though GoSox05 is a Packers fan and we are the biggest rivalry in the NFL, he shows class and us Bears fans don't mess with him. Enjoy your short playoff run courtesy of the Packers (doubt you get that far though) I've had many Bears fans talk shi* over the years, how the tide has turned and I can't do the same? That's not fair at all..... And I sure will enjoy that playoff run, you enjoy the GM search
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:30 PM) And what have the 49ers done lately? 0 seasons over .500 from 2003-2010. One playoff win since 1998. 13-3 #2 seed NFC Playoffs See: Current NFL Season (Lately)
  12. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) We are 4-1 against playoff teams.. Who's got it better than us???????? NOBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 11:51 AM) Besides, Hegone33 is just trying to get a rise out of bears fans right now, since his perennial contender 49ers has shown everyone how to win their division with regularity over the past 5 years like the Bears have. Oh, wait..... I love it when you guys pull up team history, but when its against them its all about what have you done for me lately........ I'll take the 5 Superbowl rings and 18 division championships, along with the first round bye and you guys go enjoy the debacle that is the Chicago Bears......hey at least you guys are 1-0 in 2012.....
  14. I just wonder who will be next to blame when the Bears continue to suck..........
  15. 49er fan here as well, still not sold on Smith. The way I'm looking at it is this is his first year with Harbough, and I've seen a tremendous amount of growth. I'm hopeful it continues and his ceiling is higher than we think it is. Without getting crazy into stats, there are plenty of reasons to think he can win a superbowl, hell, Steve Young and Trent Dilfer both said he could win one last night and I trust their opinions as both being Superbowl QB's. Not so sure next year will be the year either, but sometime in the next 3-4 years seems possible, considering the offense will grow and the defense is stacked with extremely talented youth.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 03:17 PM) Hegone33 with another brilliant analysis. No, nobody in the nfl could ever beat the packers this year. They don't let down. When they get beat in the playoffs, you can critique my analysis. Thanks for the shout out though!
  17. If the Bulls sign Rip, is he allowed to wear a headband?
  18. What goes around comes around, Bears had a heck of a lot of things go their way last season.......
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 02:32 PM) I have to assume this is a joke. 50 TDs against 8 INTs in 2007 for Brady. Rodgers is presently on pace for 48 and 7. 2007 Patriots had his statistical clone. Yes, it was a joke........
  20. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) Packers are going to be harder to beat in a neutral setting than Lambeau. They are built for pristine conditions, not terrible ones. Catching a pass in negative wind chill is drastically harder than in 70 and indoor. Which simply means it's harder for the other teams too, and those teams don't play up in GB on a regular basis..... GB offense in bad conditions > every other NFC offense in bad conditions
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) That's what they said about the 2007 Patriots 2007 Patriots didn't have Aaron Rodgers........
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) They do indeed, see: NFL history. I don't care about history, I'm talking about this Green Bay team.....a team that has won 19 games straight and doesn't lose to lesser teams.....
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:20 PM) dude, it's the nfl, lesser teams beat better teams all the time. Lesser teams don't beat teams playing like GB, not when there is that much of a gap.
  24. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) By bathing I mean legitimately thinking they could beat anyone. In '06 and last year, while fun, I knew they didn't have a chance at winning it all. But with a somehow still clicking defense, ridiculous ST, and finally a respectable offense I thought there was a chance for the first time. Considering GB has played 10 times better this year than last, how in the world could you be more confident the Bears could beat anyone this year and win it all versus last year? Throw in home field in the NFC Champ Game
  25. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:03 PM) If Cutler doesn't get hurt they are probably 10-3 right now. So I don't really think that was bathing in kool-aid. They were playing well. They were playing well, but there isn't one legitimate reason for anyone to believe they were going to beat the Packers..not one. Same goes for the rest of the NFC, doesn't matter what anyone is doing, they aren't going up to Green Bay and winning in the playoffs. So as a 49ers fan, I say thank God Derrick Rose is back......
