Awesome, love having access to something like this. Just closed on a house here in CO so i've been a bit busy.

Thats the likely situation to begin with, limited innings this year as he basically had none his final year in college, next year the QO Rodon and Lynn or lock one of them up and Kopech steps up and Crochet basically takes over Michael's role next year and coming into the rotation fully in '23. '22 Giolito QO (Rodon* or Lynn) Cease Keuchel* Kopech Hendriks Bummer* Heuer Crochet* Foster Fry* Marshall Ruiz

A Natural Hitter, Mercedes had to learn to hustle

Based on what? there is no mean to regress to as the sample size isn't large enough, more likely he falls in line with his minor league numbers if not even a slight bump as he no longer has to be behind the dish or worry about defense. -
Nice win, glad to see Hendriks do what he was paid to do. Joe West is still a clown.
-
Yes he has. Advanced metrics even in a SSS and the eye test say otherwise.

Vaughn is heating up!!!!

Stop, recent history has shown unless its a blow out slot them into a position to win. TLR has failed at that time and time again. Can he go crawl back into the drunk tank he came out of?
-
Can't wait for the TLRstans to defend this choice to have Bummer start the 9th....and continue..

Great series win even with the drama, can't wait to see this team in another gear with Eloy and Robert late this summer. Loved seeing Gio fired up and our closer bringing his A+ stuff. -
Nice Hustle Eaton!

Marshall, TA and Lynn's comments in both the media and on Social media.

We should be celebrating how awesome this team is for overcoming losing 2 starting outfielders an elite bench piece and a solid if not unspectacular left handed reliever and yet we have to talk about how shitty TLR is and how the game has passed him by and their is an open revolt amongst the players being played out on social media.

I went through all the umpire scorecards for the season up to date and the sox have been hosed to the tune of nearly -12 runs this season (-11.55).
-
a bottom third of Vaughn, Grandal, and Madrigal is going to frustrate a lot of 3-5 starters and weak relievers.
-
Agreed but so far Vaughn has adjudicated himself so when Eloy & Robert get back, Robert should be able to shade left center. Eloy being replaced with a defensive player after the 7th wouldn't be something new either(Engel, Garcia or Mendick).
-
I think with the holding pattern with Abreu (rightfully so), thats the play going into '22 and possibly October if Eaton can't stay healthy/productive. Anderson - SS Robert - CF Moncada# - 3B Abreu - 1B Jimenez - LF Mercedes - DH Vaughn - RF Grandal# - C Madrigal - 2B Eventually moving Eloy or Mercedes to 1B when Abreu hangs it up. Bench looking like Collins* - C/1B/DH Mendick - UT UT - Possibly bring Garcia# back or Brad Miller* OF - Engel

Agreed but it appears the FO was able to deliver on this rebuild across multiple facets and it appears they were able to cash in on lotto tickets that turned into major league pieces in Heuer, Foster, Mendick, and Mercedes. There might still be a surprise with Sheets & Burger as well. Now it will be wait and see with the young Tetrarchs of Kelley, Vera, Thompson, and Dalqueist as they make their way through the system and the two headed monster of Cespedes and Colas in the near future. Sad we no longer will have a top system but its not barren and there are some really interesting pieces within this system. The major league core is young and locked up, I'm really looking forward to seeing what direction they go with this draft.
