  1. And I am pretty sure Hawk has a boat here...there is a huge boat named "HAWK" in silver/black letters and it is registered in Chicago. I have been keeping an eye on it to see if Hawk ever shows up on it.
  2. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 15, 2011 -> 06:59 PM) I will concede, it is good. Plus it has a very enthusiastic base of golfers. I love playing there. Can't get on Medinah like Hawk, but lots of nice public courses. Naples, FL is the golf capital...trust me I live here and it is a bunch of old rich people playing golf who don't know how to drive. Luckily during the summer they all leave and head back to the northeast and midwest. 80 championship golf courses. There are more golf holes than any other place in the world, per capita.
  3. big at bat psychologically coming up...a big game out of the break would be great for the big man.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 02:49 PM) Southwest Airlines should shoot a "Wanna Get Away?" commercial with Dunn. It'd be pretty funny. That would be awesome. Only, if the money he made doing the commercial went to payback Sox fans. THey should do one with Hendry and Dunn for the Cubs/Sox series.
  5. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 02:46 PM) So it's KW's fault that only 2 players in this lineup have an OPS over .635? Really? Peavy is the only player in this lineup with a career OPS under .635 Only Vizquel has a career OPS lower than .700 Outside of Vizquel, Pierre and Beckham, everyone in this lineup has a career OPS higher than .730 And yet here we are in 2011 with a starting lineup performing this poorly....and you blame KW? How about we blame the guy in charge of making these guys perform up to their potential? It sure as hell isn't the GM. The GM's job is to create a roster that is strong on paper, and KW has done that...even today's lineup, based on career OPS, is not that bad of a lineup. Comparing career OPS is sort of useless when our players have obviously regressed...we bought high and are stuck with them.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) Dunn's going to find himself benched next week. If he can't hit a crappy sinker baller, then there's no reason for him to be playing. I truly feel that the best chance for Sox to win the AL Central this year is to not have Dunn in the lineup. If they want to win that is what they SHOULD do it is not what they WILL do. KW has too much pride...remember he would do the same deal again today (if anyone believes that I have some swamp land in FL to sell you).
  7. Sox fans need to stage a walkout next home game when Pierre leads off in the first everyone walks out. Send a message like the Greeks.
  8. Dunn can feel bad for himself doing something other than being in our lineup...I mean come on already.
  9. Clearly Ozzie is making a point he either a) wants out of town or b) wants Kenny to move some pieces...oh wait it is Sunday time for little league...
  10. Just checked in on this game...Dunn 0-3, 3Ks, we need to start a campaign to get this guy sent down...I mean bring Karkovice out of retirement or Dan Pasqua would be better alternatives...
  11. Being out of state I was considering switching to DirectTV to get Sox games...the more I pay attention to games lately the more I question whether I really want to watch!
  12. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:14 PM) Pierre????? Why not, then Ozzie can take the credit for sticking by him...
  13. I will take a productive ass over a useless classy player any day...
  14. Oh I am stoked we are in the lead for the BP Cup...sweep the Nationals please, lets get even before the ASB.
  15. God knows the Cubs/Sox could pull off a lot of trades of bad contracts. Hopefully Rios/Dunn get their act together.
  16. I saw Peavy putting up the same line as Doug Davis...JP can put on his big boy pants and get over it.
  17. Dunn will cost KW his job... White Sox 2011- "The Lost Season"
  18. Predicted record last 19 games before the break, we play a bunch of crappy teams (Cubs-6, Nats-3, Twins-4, KC-3, Col-3)...KW has to blow things up if we aren't 11-8 in that stretch.
