I don’t disagree. I just worry about over investing in the offense with an aging defense with several holes. I feel like once we get a competent offense, the defense will then suck. Par the course of being a Bears fan.

I’d be perfectly fine with drafting two OL. I think them signing that free agent WR was their biggest receiver acquisition. Mooney’s locked in as their 2. I just don’t know who they are going to have fill in for Fuller.

OT and DB should be addressed fairly early with the remaining picks. They can take some flyers on WR later.

I know they only mustered 3 hits off him, but only one of those came from a lefty (Eaton).

I think he looks fine in LF just FYI, better than Eloy! But obviously small sample size.

If he was sitting Vaughn for a league average left fielder then I don't think we'd be having this conversation. Hell if Engel was healthy most of this board would be good with him starting in LF (or RF). But he's sitting him for the likes of Nick Williams (sucks), Leury Garcia (who is fine as a bench player, but obviously is exposed with the increase of playing time), and Jake Lamb (who is a third baseman AND sucks). None of those three options are STARTING leftfielders in the big leagues and we don't expect Vaughn to be, but we do expect him to be a major league hitter. If he somehow becomes an adequate OF then you just hit the jack pot.

There's a reason why they haven't attempted to even put him at catcher, although if I remember correctly he didn't look TERRIBLE in Spring Training, I actually thought he had a good arm.

Soooooooooo why is Dalton on this team? If they had an idea they were going to draft a QB in the first or second to groom, why not just throw Foles out there to be a bridge? They have to trade or release Foles right? Didn't he just get a contract bonus or some shit.

Please put together a big boy lineup to face him. Fully expecting Leury and Lamb to somehow be in there though.

The only positive of the TLR hire was that I feel like it collectively brought Soxtalk together with their hatred for the signing.
