QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:59 PM) In all honesty, he's the FA we can most afford to lose. 2nd base might be the one position where there's enough depth throughout baseball to still get quality players at affordable prices. At what cost? You know very well we have no minor leaguers who are anywhere ready. Sure we can probally trade for a decent one if Gooch is gone, but at what cost? I'm just a little frustrated right now.

QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:58 PM) Quite ironic that some of us have been fighting all Spring Training for Logan and Anderson to make it, as I'm sure others are like me in not exactly thinking these guys are world beaters. For me personally, it's all about the message the organization is sending, as well as the incompetence of our manager to evaluate personnel. You know it can honestly have an effect on free agents in the upcoming offseason. I know I'm stretching so far into the future, but what player wants to sign with a team who's manager won't let the player who produced the best play?

I swear to god, if Iguchi is not on this team next year... I... I'm just going to... have to hurt someone.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:52 PM) we'll see Contreras is 58, Buehrle's looked like s***, and Danks is a rookie. It's possible he'll be up by May. Don't forget the other two knuckle heads in the rotation. What's the prize in this bet, or is it just pat on the back?

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:11 PM) I wish Kerry Wood the best, but it might be time for him to think about hanging them up. Agreed, I never hated the guy despite him being on the Cubs. Now Prior...

Wowww... When they ask Ozzie why Logan didn't make the team he's going to say it's because of the game he walked two batters, Wow...

This ump has a very tight strike zone but that is no excuse to have 6 walks in an outing... period. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 03:38 PM) I don't blame him. I'm listening to the game without sound and they both look exactly alike from afar. True, their socks throw ya off. Just made me chuckle when he called him Pods it sounded like he hesitated abit. -

This ump is getting me pissed. Heh ... Hawk called Erstad, Pods... SO IT BEGINS. -
Well I'm just happy April 2nd grows everyday slowly closer.
-
QUOTE(beck72 @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 05:02 AM) Erstad hit .300 in 70 ab's --by far the most on the team this spring. A case can be made for Pods being handed a job but Erstad proved himself. Erstad was handed the job nearly 1 - 2 weeks ago even when Anderson was hitting with a .300 average. At the time Brian should have been the player with the lead in the race for CF, but Ozzie made it clear that Erstad would receive 500 at-bats by the end of the season and at the time they were positive Pods would be the starting left fielder... so... yeah... I'm not picking sides since I believe any which way our CF position will be a weak point again this year. Erstad is also leading the team in K's...
-
Aj should be rather happy he's almost guarnteed the same amount of at-bats as last year or probally more. Molina should only be used as a late inning replacement if he won't have to step up to the plate with a bat in his hands.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 04:36 PM) Ahhh the Ozzie supporters out in full force. When will they realize that he has no clue what he's doing in terms of on field decisions? Awesome.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) 1. Spring training feel, stats, etc. dont matter 2. White Sox lead the AL in runs scored during the spring. Hehe, your number 1 sorta makes #2 useless. -
QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 12:11 AM) two words. ran. dom. If I'm correct isn't his oldest son payed for being the team's hispanic traslator? Any which way those boys are set for life.

QUOTE(GoGoWhiteSox! @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 08:13 PM) Well if Spring Training is any indication of how we'll perform in the regular season, that would mean we lose twice as many games as we win so : 54 wins and 108 loses! To be perfectly honest we had a really bad spring, especially the starters and that was our problem last year so Spring Training could be a good indicator after all!! Thank goodness Spring Training isn't a good indication. Correct me if I am wrong but weren't we just as bad in ST '05 and well... we all know how that turned out. I'm going to say 91 wins by the way.
