A Big Thank You to All Here at Soxtalk.com
ShoeLessRob replied to LVSoxFan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I still enjoyed the first half ever so much, despite being behind Tigers in the standings. Just shows how it all change after years with no ring then getting one, then sitting at home watching teams I could give a rat's ass about. 2007 -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 30, 2006 -> 08:43 AM) What if we drafted Josh Fields? We would have three!

I wish Rob had atleast Average CF defensive skills ...

Interesting line up but once again why is the oldest player on our team still playing? Well .... Jose has probally 10 years on him but still ...

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) We're playing all the starters but Anderson and Iguchi tonight. Owens is in CF, and Cintron at 2B. I can't believe that Ozzie is still finding ways to not play Anderson out there. Sad ain't it..

Was our best starting pitcher in the bullpen all year ?
ShoeLessRob replied to WHITESOXRANDY's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Maybe, but it will take a long while before people stop blaming Ozzie and KW. We definitely need to trade one of our starters and let him start. I wouldn't mind trading two and getting another lefty starter as well. Do you guys think Mark Redman is a stiff? Again, he is a free agent and won 11 of KC's games. Not bad for such a crap team. Detroit made a masterful move getting an old guy lefty like Rodgers. Rotation Mark B Jon Brandon Fred/Vas (other one traded) Redman or Moyer trade Jose (I like Jose) Trading Fred or Vas and Jose for some stud middle relievers and/or leftfielder. You said this before .. Redman had a 5.71 ERA, that is alot more then any one of our starters. I don't really consider that an improve ... at all. Oh and ROGERS may be old but he had a 3.46 ERA in '05 and now a 3.79 this year ... Redman can't even hold his jock strap. -
Howdy all, Was curious if one of ya fine artists can put together a sig photo of White Sox minor leaguer Francisco Hernandez. I found it hard to find even one picture of him but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In search of a new lead off hitter for next year
ShoeLessRob replied to VAfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) That's funny because Jerry Owens wasn't even in the White Sox Organization at the time Podsednik was acquired, the Sox got Owens 2 months after that from the Nationals for Alex Escobar. Plus Jerry Owens at this point in time is probably worse than Scott Podsednik. Speaking of Escobar, what has he been up to? -

QUOTE(GaelicSoxFan @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) Okay, the Nationals were shopping Soriano at the trade deadline. Here's the problem: they didn't just want McCarthy, Sweeney or Fields. They wanted all the top prospects. I praise Kenny for not selling the farm in order to get an aging, whiny veteran with a big contract and even bigger ego. IMHO, the leadoff hitter for the 2006 Chicago White Sox will be Jerry Owens. He's their top speed prospect. The reasons why they traded for Scott Podsednik are 1. Owens was two years away from being ready for the big leagues and 2. I liked seeing Carlos Lee hitting walkoff grand slams against the Cubs, but he's a member of the 'swing hard in case you hit it' club. *Cough* -
QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) 2-out walk turns into 3 runs. Damn. Did I mention that September has been: U G L Y ??? First time I have heard this.

Fields starting at DH today ... don't understand why Ozzie doesn't have him in LF or 3b.
-
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 24, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) I have a lot of questions about whether or not McCarthy is ready or not too. I also wonder about just what happened to Cotts. Sunday he gave up two more homers and didn't get a batter out. He has sucked big time this year. The Cliff Politte disease is very deadly and contagious.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) I need help for being a die-hard Sox fan? wow... You love your sox yet you b**** at every single player on the team, guess who makes up the sox ... Ozzie, Cora, Thome, Uribe, Podsednik, Pierzynski, Buehrle, Garcia, Anderson. Sure it's hard to see the team struggle but the way you keep switching from ! to ROAR is very, well ... I need to stop before I get yelled at.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) Hey, this team pisses me off a lot, but at the end of the day, I still love my White Sox. You need help.

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) Jenks K's Broussard. 2 outs I have heard those rumblings about him. It's either he might be traded or he wants to go back to Japan. I'd take the guy off the Mariners hands though if they really wanted to trade him I'd be more then happy to take him off their hands.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) Nice Sweeney. Damn Uribe from stealing Sweeney of a double.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) Would you trade Ryan Sweeney for Luis Gonzalez? Would you sacrifice playing time for a young, up-and-comming stud for an old has-been? How could he trade for Gonzalez if he's a FA ...
