  1. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/bears-were-close-to-hiring-jim-harbaugh-last-week/ was this article shared before?
  2. Yup. I stopped watching them after the half way point of last season. I love football, but I don’t believe the organization knows what the fuck they’re doing from top to bottom.
  3. 49-22-1 including playoffs. And he was able to utilize Kapernick (a mobile inaccurate quarterback) and win with him. If it wasn’t all his doing he obviously built a great staff around him to best utilize his teams strengths.
  4. The fact that they didn’t even bring him in for an interview stings even more.
  5. I would have definitely been a bit more optimistic if they went Daboll. And even though your right, I don’t think they were ever in on a Harbaugh type (whether due to money, didn’t want to give him too much control, or hell maybe he never had any interest). I think for most fans it would have been more of a statement that they want to win NOW instead of the realization that this team is yet again a few years away from hopefully legit contention.
  6. If they can crack top 15 on offense I’d be ecstatic. But in regards to hiring a defensive coordinator as a HC, I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but when have the Bears weakness been defense? Granted they are not as good as the 85, or Lovie Era, but the Bears somehow always field a decent defensive team. They are always lacking on the offensive side of the game. Nothing they have done with these hires leads me to believe they have addressed that issue. But like I’ve said and you said, I don’t think this is a quick fix. Hopefully they can utilize Fields skills and groom him to be a catalyst for the offense.
  7. They fired Pace and Nagy because it was the right decision to do. Nagy was way over his head as head coach and Pace depleted the team with moving up in the draft several times and giving bloated contracts to aging veterans. They seemed to have been “cute” again with their new hires. Fans want to see a historic franchise pony up and go out there and get a proven winner (a Harbough type) who has experience winning to show that the team can/wants to win NOW. Obviously that doesn’t seem realistic with the current structure of the team and lack of draft picks this year and I believe next. Unfortunately we will prolly be pretty mediocre again next year. Unfortunately the key to this franchise turning around is solving the QB issue, hopefully these individuals they hired can play to Fields strengths. We have nothing to go off of with Eberflus or the OC they have selected, hence the pessimism.
  8. If it didn’t work in the past, it for sure will work this time around!
  9. Please let this game be the end of that nonsense.
  10. Can’t fault a young player trying to make himself more versatile in order to get his shot at the big leagues. Got to admire his determination to continue putting in the work and effort after all he went through. But if either Leury and Burger end up being some sort of answer at 2nd base this year, it’s a total failure on this front office.
  11. This would be a total failure on this organization and I fully suspect it will happen.
  12. Our team is on the field. but seriously hope this is just off-season fluff and why wouldn’t he be taking reps at 2nd.
  13. Should I rewatch Suicide Squad before I jump in?
