I'm sure he will, nothing on the line this season and no one has any expectations of winning more than 60 games.

Watch, somehow, with this team now built to be a 100+ loss team, Yoan will manage to play the entire season without injury.

I mean....he's Gavin Sheets. I'm not even a Moose fan, but I'd rather him be on the roster over Gavin Sheets.

Mlb.com Sox projected lineup and rotation is out

Our 7-8-9 will be murderer's row!! Sad to look at, but we knew what it would be this season. I'm giving it until game 15, until one of Moncada-Eloy-Robert is on the IL. -
I'd take that deal, from a Sox perspective.

Boy, that is a sexy rendering. I'd definitely travel back up to Chicago to visit that stadium, if it happened.

Sox trade Cristian Mena to Arizona for OF Dominic Fletcher

Sometimes your stuff and makeup are........your stuff and makeup, regardless of your age. I'm just saying, I'm not bothered by moving on from Mena, in the slightest. -

Not to mention, the team just got a better version of Mena, in Prelander Berroa. I think we'll be just fine. -

Mena has struggled at EVERY SINGLE STOP not named Kannapolis. I'm not losing sleep over moving a kid with his repertoire in favor of a kid who is ready to play the OF for a team that sorely lacks MLB ready OFers. -

Love it. Didn't really see Mena getting anywhere fast, and you get a guy who is MLB ready in the OF. -
Whatever gets the team away from Generic_Baseball_Stadium_01 I'm all for. Of course, I'm not a Chicagoan, who potentially is footing the bill...

Thanks for your time on the Southside, Luis, and good luck to whatever team you land on next...rest assured, you'll be on another team.

Eloy's contract isn't the issue, Eloy's ability to not injure himself because he is a big oaf, is.

Love that this hopefully closes the door on a Cease to ATL move, I loathed the possibility of that happening.

Sox sign P Chris Flexen, DFA Carlos Perez

April and May? This run of absolute ass baseball, will go FAR beyond April and May. -
Giolito to the Red Sox, 2 years $38.5 million, Y1 opt out
Capn12 replied to Balta1701's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Gracious....Red Sox need pitching so badly, they overpay by that amount? I never keep up with Boston. -
Lots of answers potentially out there, to fix the second base issue the White Sox have. Nick Madrigal isn't one of those answers.

That's a rabbit hole you don't want to go down. JR and the stadium/city situation. I'm of the opinion, that New Comiskey is a souless, drab archaic monolith that needs to go asap. But, others don't seem to mind it. I also don't have to figure out the finances for it, so that is a different discussion all together.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs

Leury is clearly almost 3x the player Shohei is. -
Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
Capn12 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
"The Dodgers will be paying a combined $79MM to Ohtani and Betts in 2043 when Betts will be 50 years old and Ohtani 48." Guarantee that is a 'that is for the next ownership group to worry about' decision, 100% -

I'm making it about ANY organization who cries poor, it just so happens our organization does it with perfection. -

Capn12 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This is probably true. Always be the first to capitalize on a gray area, because it will get fixed. The fact that there is no current limit on the amount of money clubs are allowed to defer, well... -
Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
Capn12 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Technically, he IS taking less money, because that 680 million will have less value when it gets collected, and with zero interest to boot. -

I'm also not crying "Man I can't afford the $50k a year landscaper that my coworker with the $8 million dollar home has." ....and then all the while, stuffing hundreds of thousands of dollars into my own savings.
