With the ability for colleges with big baseball programs, to now delve into NLI matters, you'd have to be crazy at round 6+, as a High School kid, to even go straight to professional baseball....that is assuming you have a big program offer.
A catcher with a TJS already on the books. And the draft tracker snippet was not complimentary on his ability to hit too many ground balls, or his defense

4th round: Calvin Harris, C from Ole Miss.
The scouting video of him is...not generous about his ability defensively, nor his ability to not hit ground balls.

He'll fit right in!
Big time dead pull guy, but that is fine. We can hope and wish that they don't tinker with his swing, but unfortunately, we know the organization too well...
Gonzalez is seemingly the 2B of the future, with his profile. I'm fine with the pick, I was just more so pissed that Boston grabbed Teel right before us, when he had fallen to that range.
I don't necessarily have anything against Gonzalez being the pick (though the speed is a bit boggling), I just moreso had hope for Teel after he had gotten so close to being available.
It hit his knuckle, I'm not sure how folks saw anything else. Doesn't matter, team sucks just enough to let the tying run score, now its an immediate battle of who sucks slightly more.
