  1. I was shocked to see Frank popout to the right side of the infield with runners on!
  2. When are we playing game #2 Heads? Time for the start RB Tommy Gunn to steal the show.
  3. ..............................I'm speechless..................honestly..........I have been dumbed down to new levels on this thread.
  4. Clarett is becoming a pretty big Tool in my mind. Hey guy, stay out of trouble, quit lying about things to the police, do your own damn schoolwork, and ya wouldn't have been in this position in the first place. :fyou
  5. Nobody gets a f***ing "break" because they have good career numbers!!!! We were in the heat of a huge series that could decide our playoff fate. Frank disappeared when we needed him the most, so did quite a few others. I'm not talking about all the good things someone has done for their career here, Roman, I'm talking about what happened these last 2 weeks that showed myself and alot of other Sox fans that these guys sucked when we needed them the most.
  6. Hypocracy runs deep in Virginia Beach, I see. Roman, you make less sense than my 2 year old nephew. NO one is saying they hate Frank, but most of us are saying that throughout his CAREER, not just this September, he has been an awful hitter in the clutch situations. That reason alone is why here in September, alot of us are barking Franks name. The fact remains that when we need him the most, he shows up the least. Also, you said something about Loz getting that 20th win to make himself better stat-wise.....uh, whattya think Franks been doing this whole time? He is hitting HRs now to pad those career stats. Rest assured, Frank is not alone in Septembers failures....Frank, PK, Jonny G, hell, even Sargeant Joe Crede has been pretty cold this month in clutch times. It happened to the whole team at once, unfortunately.
  7. C'mon, Rex....quit clouding the argument with facts here!!!
  8. DING!!! YOu got it...Hell no, I don't wanna see Maggs gone, but from an economical standpoint, we may have no choice. PK, at 8 mill for a slow footed semi power hitter, thats too much.
  9. Who said Maggs should go, mike? I said that we may have no choice but to trade him, because of $$$ issues, which will always be the case under JR
  10. AVG G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K OBP SLG OPS Totals .356 1330 4981 873 1772 307 168 54 785 519 158 .000 .517 .000 Note, thats 158 K's, CAREER Roman...Franks pretty close to that this year alone. Think before you speak.
  11. Unfortunately, DK, I cant see us having over 20% of our payroll in 2004 tied up to 1 player. He may be traded just because of that.
  12. You got some good ganja there, Roman, if you believe that pile o' poo you just spew.
  13. Roman, are you Franks PR supervisor or something? HRs are not the only telling sign for a players success. Look at Bret Boone....he hits lots of HRs...does that mean he is one of the leagues best players, or leader of the Mariners? NO. Frank didn't get it done when we needed him to. Granted, he wasn't alone, but still he was one of the ones that didn't
  14. Past performance does not project present success. Sorry, a 259-262 average blows, no matter how many HRs he hits when he K's 120 times, and can't do whats needed in a close game situation
  15. Hmm....you saying that pretty soon it might be................... STOP!!!!! BILLY TIME!!!!!!!!!
  16. My problem with it is that it is all he is trying to do now. He says himself that he wants to win in Chicago. Well, when you are in a close game, and theres a runner on base......just once, I'd like to see him do whats best for the team, try to move the runner over, instead of trying to get 2 runs on 1 swing. In the past before 2003, Frank was really good at putting the ball on the right side of the field, moving the runners over. I get really frustrated when a player like Frank comes out and says he wants to win it all in Chicago, but when those moments come to be the team player, he is just a selfish oaf.
  17. Hey Show, what image software do you use? I'd love to make some fantastically amazing signatures, but my stuff blows on my PC
  18. yeah, and its got a bad misspell in it...i feel like a Spelling Bee flunkie!!
  19. Oh f***...it musta been late when i made that one.... my spelling and capitalizing skills are defunct bad!!
  20. hmmm, is it that way for everyone? I checked the url, all looks ok, and I can go straight to it via url....not sure why it wouldnt be showing up
  21. 4 yrs at 40 mil, i could live with....when we get into the Teens in terms of millions for one player, considering this teams payroll will never exceed 70 mill, thats where I have a problem with it. BTW, abozichiu, even I can poke fun at my boy Koch, as evident by my sig.
  22. I can see no reason whatsoever, besides $$$, that Manuel should be back in 2004. Unfortunately, with JR, $$$ is the only reasons he considers
  23. Well, IMO, they should do what they can to restructure that 2004 deal with Maggs, thats more than 20% of our payroll right there. And about the Padres deal, I can't see them trading away Khalil and Nady, much less for someone they don't really need now, like WS99 said, they have 2 corner OFers now. I'd have trouble rooting for Khalil in Chi-Town, but I'd get over it. The kid has talent, just have my reasons for not liking him
  24. Guaranteeing that Jose Valentin is not on the 2004 roster should be priority #1, IMO. Thomas and/or Konerko should be gone also. We need the $$$$ that those guys are taking up, and we seriously need to not be paying Maggs $14 mil, sorry, its true.
