    i wish....

You saying you don't enjoy watching Honey I Shrunk the Kids? Its got Bob McKenzie in it, for Gods saske!!
  2. Jerry-- "I'm thinking that since they have had troubles with the bat, I'd let Konerko and Olivo each go 3 or so innings, maybe let Glover try to DH and see if he can do that. And maybe put Frank in CF. We need to try something new everyday until we start winning, or until I'm satisfied with my tinkering."
  3. I'm now thinking that someone HAS to come up and start game 2 tomorrow....Josh Stewart?
  4. Thats WEAK!!!! You give up a HR to Tim Laker?
  5. Was I alone in thinking, "Here comes CLee for a GIDP to end it." How bad is it when you almost expect the worst to happen, because it usually does.
  6. Thats a weeks worth of production for Konerko
  7. Tell me whats so hard about this lineup? vs. LHP Alomar 2B Rowand CF Thomas 1B Ordonez RF Everett LF Lee DH Graffy SS Crede 3B Alomar C
  8. HOLY f*** Its comical....Glover....please leave
  9. Hell, if nothing else...switch the roles of Glover and Wright.. AS i say that, GLover gives up a 2 run double
  10. Jesus....from bad to worse....now we have to see Glover....this isn't an improvement over Wright
  11. OK, tell me who in AAA can come up and do any better? There is no one...they tried to make the deal for Ponson, although a Konerko for Ponson straight up was an ignorant attempt, there is no one MLB ready in the minors.
  12. WTF is going on there? You let the runners all move up while 1 guy is in a rundown?
  13. As we see, Wright can get ahead of no one, hence he cant avoid extra base hits
  14. I think that one thing we are sorely missing is that good long reliever out of the pen...AKA...Rocky Biddle. The guy was built for that role, and Glover just has no confidence, added to the fact that JM has no confidence in using him either. Whoda thought that the best part of the deal with Montreal would be Biddle, not Colon?
  15. Sorry hsc, I'm at work, and watching on the PC...so its easy for me to sit and type here
  16. I think that with all the right handed bats in the lineup, we can afford to let Lee go away...either via trade, or whatever. Put Everett in left, then when he walks at the end of '03, Borchard can play the position he should be playing. Maggs in RF, and for now, either Rowand or Harris have to play Center
  17. Thing is, when Wright gets ahead of hitters, he can be dominant in that he has so many options to throw. Unfortunately, Wright has a hrad time getting ahead of anyone most of the time
  18. I am also one of the folks that thinks Wright has excellent pitch selection, but he doesnt always select the right pitches. He is still young, but I'd like to see some consistency from him. He has been given a spot in the rotation for 2+ years now, lets see him act like he wants to stay there
  19. Hey...1 more run, and we'll match our 3 game output from Detroit!!! Is that funny, or just sad?
  20. THE one and the same...AND...Get this...he TOOK 2 pitches before he hit it!!!!!
  21. Holy s***! Did i see Konerko almost blast one out?
  22. i am f***ing lost..... these lineups make NO SENSE at all!! PLAY FRANK AT FIRST!!! Put Everett in left, Rowand/Harris in CF...Lee at DH...Jesus Christ
  23. Well, everyone else has had their opinion on what this org. needs, I'll give it a go. 1. Put someone in CF that has some Goddamn speed., who HAPPENS to be a Leadoff hitter. Can Willie Harris get it done? We may never know, because see #2. 2. Get us a manager who can run the same lineup out there more than one f***ing day in a row!! JM, just cause you have 12/13 men in the lineup doesnt mean you have to rotate them around every night. Consistency is what this team needs, and you offer ZERO with your "Let's try something new tonight" attitude. You have had more fire than in the past this year, but has it really helped? Sometimes you appear to be arguing just so that you can say you did! 3. Left/Switch handed hitting.....GET SOME!! I don't mean switch hitters who can hit .380 one way, and .190 the other. Thats not switch hitting. 4. Advanced scouting.....please don't f***ing tell me we actually PAY someone for this in this organization? These guys are absolutely clueless when it comes to a pitcher they havent seen. When you get beat by 2-13 Jeremy Bonderman from Detroit, there are issues. 5. Don't go make some silly trades so that you can tell shareholders, "See, we are commited to making a run here." BULLs***. If you were committed, you would go get someone who might help, not someone who WAS a Gold-glove all-star, and someone who HAD a great April. Go get someone who IS a gold-glover, or someone who IS a damn hot hitter. 6. Get the core locked up to contracts. The ones that do actually play to win most of the time. Maggs, Harris, Rowand, BUEHRLE, MARTE....these are the guys that actually try most of the time. If I hear one more Goddamn person say, "Olivo isn't here for offense, he is great defensively." I'm gonna puke. SOrry fols, its 2003, and the era of .220 hitting catchers being kosher is over. You can say what you want about my Harris and Rowand additions to the contract hopes; at least these 2 care about playing the game, and I know for sure that Rowand would run through walls to make a play. Put him in left, let El Caballo go strut his uppercut swing in L.A. or somewhere. 7. Leave Frank Thomas at first base, Goddamnit!! It's not rocket science. When someone hits over 60 pts better when in the field, and he's a Hall-of-Famer type player, just f***in do it! If these demands can't be met, then f*** Off Reinsdorf, go play with your precious NBA team, and sell to someone who will get it done.
  24. Yes, he of the "1 double this year coming in, 2 doubles this game" A.J. Hinches
