  1. This WOULD have been a great time for Glover to get a couple innings work in, and letting our mail guys get a rest....even Jerry can mess up a solid win
  2. Garland has looked pretty good actually. Only 2 hits allowed in 5 IP, both infield singles. The Twins announcers said that coming into this game, Garland over his last 8 games is 3-3, with a 3.38 ERA....He is getting his stuff together apparently, and that makes 3.5 good starters right now (Colon, he is hurting...needs an arm break)
  3. I'm in South Carolina, so I HAVE to use MLB.tv....its actually not too bad. I get to watch the Sox almost everyday.
  4. I LOVE IT!!! BEAT THE HELL out of the Twinkies
  5. WEll, when the outfielder goes over the wall to bring one back, its still an almost Homer, and its still an out, so we are both correct? And we will avoid a 5 page pissing contest!!!
  6. And shoulda been back to back, with Val, right? looked like Jose just missed YET AGAIN!!
  7. And SURPRISE....Rios K's on 3 pitches if I'm not mistaken...
  8. Yuck...anytime I see the name "Rios" in the lineup, I cringe. SPECIFICALLY, when its at DH. Even as bad as he is hitting, Konerko vs. Rios is not much difference. I'd rather throw Konerko out there, hell, he CAN'T be this bad all of a sudden.
  9. NOt sure if what DJ brings to the plate could be considered "superior offense". Heres Alomar and Jimenez' stats so far this year: G AB R 2B 3B HR RBI SB BB AVG SLG Alomar, Roberto (2B-NYM) 72 259 33 17 1 2 22 6 29 .263 .359 Jimenez, D'Angelo (2B, 3B-CWS) 73 271 35 11 5 7 26 4 32 .255 .410 Except for the adavantage of 5 HRs, there is not much difference, and I KNOW that Alomar plays a better second base,
  10. whitesox247, u might have to remove Paul f***ing Konerko from your Active CubKiller list, as he has done enough today alone to warrant removal
  11. Right now, I'd rather see Joey Cora at the plate than Paul Konerko
  12. Seriously, I am lost. Colon could blow most of these guys away, yet he is trying to nibble on the outside corner OVER, and OVER.... Throw the damn ball Colon,
  13. Ladies and gentlemen, JOSE IS ALIVE AGAIN!!
  14. How in the hell can you all blame Koch for this? What about Assclown Gordon not getting anyone out, and Manuel letting him stay in there to do that damage? Koch gives up a single, in 1 IP and a K. Thats what closers do. Everyone seems to want to lay everything at Koch's feet, sorry folks....not his fault.
  15. In all fairness to Koch (we all knew he has a propensity for the long ball), the game shoulda been over in the 9th. f***chop Jimenez, I'd be happy to never see him in the starting lineup, wait...on the White Sox roster EVER again. Definition of a complete Blockhead. Where does KW find these "great finds"?
  16. Hmm...that hurts.....last night I was taking up for Koch, and here he goes and throws up cookies for the Twinkies....SOmeone detonate this team, and start all over....
  17. No one wants Jimenez, hence the reason we end up with this retread blockhead. WE have got LOADS of no common sense players on this team. DJ said it best...these arent rocket hits, these are hits you should be able to advance on. 3 straight hits, and you cant get a run?? WTF?
  18. Jesus Christ!!! Get this f***nut Jimenez out of the lineup!!! Moron to the Nth degree. Loaded, and CLee goes swinging for the 4 run variety...just hit the damn ball Lee!
  19. DJ is the BIGGEST BONEHEAD I've seen on the basepads in a LONG time!!
  20. I seem to remember TONS of people last year pissing and moaning about how Foulke wasnt getting it done at the start of the season. Chalk that up to management, as he should have been left in the closers role REGARDLESS of the situation, much like Koch is now. ON paper, the deal looked good, and we got rid of catcher dead-weight, and got a pretty good pitching prospect in return. I'll do that deal anyday I am approached about it. Foulke was up for arbitration this year, and good ole JR wasnt gonna fork out what he wanted to stay in Chicago.
  21. Jesus, you people sure have selective memory.....talk about how bad Koch is, hes gonna blow it, look, he threw the first pitch in the dirt.....hmm...thats 11 out of 13 save opportunities. It was the right move for JM, the righty power hitter was up, u go to your righty power closer. He's the damn closer, thats his job, put him in when times are tight. No one mentions how s***ty Maggs has been, or how DJ is not doing the only thing he WAS previously doing, hitting. There are bigger problems on this team then at closer.
  22. but, we keep him because of his "clutch" hitting!!! At least, thats what everyone always says. How clutch can you be and still hit in the 220's?
  23. and then there's Jimenez...the only thing he HAD going for im this year was that he was hitting. Now he is clueless up there...and already a blockhead on the field and on the bases
  24. Poor ole Graffy....I hope he gets a seeing-eye single or something. He's probably thinking, "What the hell?!? They walk Garland and then get me out?"
