The A's have some great commericals. Last night I was fliping through the channels and the Giants were on. They have some horrible commericals. The commerical I saw last night dealt with people at the game. THey interviewed one women and she said. A good place to eat, have fun, meet friends, and oh baseball too. What? Um isn't that why you go to a game. But than again it is the giants, and i don't think their "fans" no anyone besides bonds and schmidt. There fans are homers. Reminds me a lot of another team in Chicago. Oh and sports radio is just as bad. When they talk about baseball its all giants all the time, and here and there they will talk A's. I was doing my laundry the other day, and the host read an e-mail from an A's fan asking why is it when they talk about the A;s its always complaining about the attendece (because no one goes) and the the stadium. Ok off my rant. Talk about getting off topic there, but I needed to share

I only could wish that was the case for me. All of my friends were/are working on their masters thesis and no one wanted to drink a lot. But I did go home and fool around with the alcohol and made a decent trpical ice cream drink.

Well when people are having arguments that is what should be done, Support with evidence. Not that everything Brando mentions I agree with, but if a person can support their clain that is great and he did with this "arguement". With the evidence he provides, I would have to agree that Maggs is not as good, and with him at 30 years of age he is nearing the downside of his peak. IMHO

I went to that Oakland game, and I was rooting him on, but than he blew the save and I just put my head in my hands and hoped they would pull it out in the tenth. After today, sitting watching the game drinking a beer and eating a hotdog. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Not Holding Runners, Double Steals, wild throws. Did anyone see Ozzie's reaction after the double steal. He took his gum out of his mouth and throw it to the ground. I think he is getting angery as well. flippedoutpunk: I love your sig. Just wanted to reply to your comments to why we lost the game. 1) Konerko's baserunning blunder? That ball was hit hard and fast. Maclamore (SP) jumped pretty damn high to get that. Tip your hat. Paul is slow leaning to the wrong base and got caught. A's got doubled up as well in what the fourth or ffith. 2) Val at bat wasn't so much of getting down the bunt, but for attempting with two strikes that bothered me, and Olivo attempting after him THe oakland annoucers where questioning that one. 3) Crede slipping. Maybe its because I have the luxary to listen to the Oakland broadcasts, but that is the same truf that the Raiders would play on, and the annoucers mentioned that Raiders players would splt a lot and went to longer spikes to grip. Chulk this one up on the " we didn't do enough research" 4) Olivo choking in front of BB: Come on I so sure Olivo is thinking you know I going to show BB what I am today, because they don't have the luxary of sports reports, cable, stats, etc. here in oakland and he doesn't know what I am doing. So when bradford came in, who by the way gave up two runs, said I am going to show KW what I am made of. Dude Whatever 5) The gload miscue from the highlights here he was turning, but he did run pretty damn far after reaching first.
