  1. Sure wasn't pretty but we'll take it. I do think the Royals will get one of these next 3 though. I mean law of averages would tell you that they're bound to get one eventually.
  2. Some good stuff that inning, now let's see if we can't finish it and get the home field. Though if we don't finish it I won't worry about it, since I don't feel home field means as much as people make it out to. It would be nice to have however.
  3. I like God Bless America. It's a nice way to pay tribute to this great nation of ours. And as for those who are asking for Take Me Out to the Ballgame, it more then gets its fair share of play during the baseball season. God Bless America is done maybe a handful of times a year (mostly on national TV), so it really isn't that big a deal for Take Me Out to the Ballgame to be foregone every once in a while IMO.
  4. Yeah Joe Buck sorta ruined it though at the end with the whole "Are you all having fun tonight?" thing. Kudos to the fans for not booing the Commish when he was introduced BTW.
  5. Or the 24 home runs in a round. Mark my words, no way anyone tops that one ever. Ryan Howard is some kind of power hitter! Man did he crush those!
  6. I've watched most of this (missed a bit here and there) and I think this year's has been somewhat dissapointing compared to past years. No one really has gone on a big tear sans Howard and Wright.
  7. QUOTE(loltrain @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 10:10 AM) You're right, the minute the Sox go even .5 games over Detroit I will dissapear and stop posting, then when we return with a .5 game lead I will return with a vengance. That's pretty much been my plan all along. :s Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?
  8. Actually the lead is down to 5 now.
  9. All 3 balls looked good off the bat, thank goodness for us they all stayed in the park.
  10. Jonesy's head went down too, even he thought it was gone.
  11. Jonesy scared me that inning, all 3 outs were deep ones, but it works.
  12. Tigers nursing a 2-1 lead after 7. M's nearly grabbed the lead just now. Had 2nd and 3rd with 2 out, but Beltre K'd to end the threat.
  13. Tigers grab the early lead 1-0 on a Shelton single. Bottom 2nd. So much for the lead. Ibanez leads off with a shot to right, 1-1.
  14. QUOTE(ViperPilot @ Jul 8, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) Here's the good part......could be up 3 by the time we wake up in the morning.......Tomorrow the CWS go up against Shilling who will be pumped to shove the ASG snub in Guillen's ugly mug.....we could be 4 games up going into the break....when we come back, we have 4 games at home vs the Royals and the CWS have 4 against the NYY in NY......it could be a pretty good lead by the time they get to Detroit.......with the way the White Sox are pitching, I think they could be in some trouble...... Even worse for them is since the Yankees are 2nd to them in the wild card currently, if they struggle in NY, their hold on that wild card could be much smaller at the end of that series then it is now.
  15. Indeed, nice to see him finally get some runs behind him too for a change.
  16. Tigers win over the M's 6-1. Lead now back up to 2.
  17. Hey I'll be happy if we get in period, since we haven't been in years. I still believe though we will have a very good chance at taking the division before the season is done.
  18. It happens to the good teams sometimes. I still think it will be a tight series between you two. QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) i'll never understand people that go to opposing teams forums just to start s***. I'm not doing that at all, just talking some baseball here for the most part.
  19. Don't think they will just yet. You guys got Boston which is quite a tall order. Meanwhile we get Seattle who seems to be slumping now, after getting swept by the Angels.
  20. Not really, I could be doing some other stuff, but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I probably will later on.
  21. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) And you shouldn't have lost two of three to that s***ty Oakland team, but you did. Alright if you want to go that way, who's lost games to KC?
  22. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) No they didn't... They got some runs on Politte how is that impossible? Doing it with 2 outs to start with is amazing to me.
  23. I don't mean you shouldn't be glad you won, I mean it's still a win, but it shouldn't have been as close as it was.
