Liam Hendriks' return appears imminent
Dick Allen replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
No spring training. Off season program was altered. What chemo did to his body. It's going to be a bit. I'm amazed he is where he is. -
So he will be White Sox average. I do agree, it's crazy to think he'll be effective. But this is the type of thing the White Sox front office banks on annually. And we all know, they know more than anyone else.
-
I have no idea how anyone could think Crochet could possibly hold up as a starter.
-
Who would you actually pay to watch hit?
Dick Allen replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I've paid to watch a lot of guys hit that couldn't hit. Of the names on the list, Eloy. I like watching them go high and far, and when he's hot, he can do it as well as anyone. -
He also started using that video thing with pitches Burger has been using. Those 2 using it, no mention of the others, hmmmm. His numbers really are incredible considering he has a 5-56 in there.

I agree, never really open or open just a small crack. As to Rick not meeting the press. If he is ill or he has some family obligation, like maybe he has a child graduating, then not doing it was fine. If he just wants to avoid it, it shows another reason why he shouldn't have the job. Either way, fire Rivk Hahn

Is Vaughn a good enough 1b to rebuild around?
Dick Allen replied to Greg Hibbard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Luis Robert is on track to be the first White Sox All Star CF since Chet Lemon in 1979. 44 seasons. -
Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
Dick Allen replied to superchops70's topic in Pale Hose Talk
TA is a good player. He just needs to get his head out of his ass. Quit thinking "change the game" style BS and play baseball. Hard. -

I don’t think he said what many think he said. But after last nights loaf which got him thrown out, it would be nice if his head could be in a game well enough to where he could get to secomd on a ball that got far enough away from the catcher Paul Konerko could have advanced a base. -
I thought these guys were embarrassed by 2022.
-
Why do I have the feeling there is no way the Sox have the lead next time they bat.
-
Change the game.
-
Of course. Bench his ass.

Burger is in Chicago. Will probably be activated tomorrow.

This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
Dick Allen replied to LittleHurtCG's topic in Pale Hose Talk
They will easily lose 90. It’s not a good team playing poorly. It’s a bad team. 40 games in with their record, their manager publicly says they are playing with no urgency. If it isn’t there now, it’s not going to show up any time soon. With their minor league situation, this is a team that is going to suck for many years. This regime will eventually have to go and will leave a bigger mess than perhaps any regime in Chicago pro sports history, and that’s saying something. -
Hahn said he has to continue to earn his position. What has he ever earned? Maybe he’s like George Costanza and never fucks up JRs calzone order.
-
Rick Hahn is obviously a smart guy. Putting together baseball teams , however, isn’t one of his aptitudes. How much more of this is going to be met with inaction? KW said accountability isn’t a problem. Well then show us what you mean. Cut the bullshit. If you can’t get fired , you should be embarrassed enough to resign.
-
Don’t worry about the offense, we’ve been told it common to struggle like this when installing a new “system”. if the Sox won every game on the road-trip, I have the feeling RH would have shown his face yesterday. These guys show who they are every day. The front office is as gutless as the roster.
-
Leury’s HR in the playoffs was the summit of the rebuild. It’s been a steep downhill drop since then.
-
Thats the problem. That's why these idiots need to quit or get fired now.
-
A. He's a player rep. B. He's a free agent who will cost money. One of those is enough for JR., both is a lock.
-
Gio is obviously going to be traded. They cannot have RH or KW make the trade. It is very important they get someone back who can be useful, not just the JR approved salary relief. The Sox don't have much where they can get anything elite. Gio isn't going to get you something elite. When is the last time Hahn acquired a non elite prospect in a trade who turned into a decent contributor?

Is Vaughn a good enough 1b to rebuild around?
Dick Allen replied to Greg Hibbard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It depends. Will the Sox be good before he can leave? I tend to doubt it. I'd trade him if the price was right. -
Pedro talked a good game. The problem is they didn't hire a manager that said you have some issues here, and you need to make changes. He told them what they wanted to hear. This team is stacked. A couple of coaching tweaks, a refreshed attitude, some luck with health, and there will be a parade where JR and RH can get on stage and tell the fans how dumb they are, and how smart the White Sox are. The bottom line is, if RH and KW think they are good at their jobs, they need to show Pedro the door. If Pedro and his staff aren't the problem, RH and KW need to walk out the door. It's one or the other or most likely, both.
