It was funny Hahn mentioned his Sporting News Exrc of the Year the other day considering he was the guy who fired Renteria the year he won Manager of the Year. -

Regarding the Sox lead, as the Superfans once sung, the only question is when would it end, it was never in doubt my friend. -

Good for Pedro. I don't know why Robert came out fot the top of the 2nd, but maybe they wanted to give Oscar some time to get loose. -

Robert should be taken out of the game. -
The funny thing is the Sox had so many players in the WBC, I figured they would be ahead of most teams at the start. I figured a hot start and maybe a little fade at the end of the season. I was as wrong as Hahn. JR might have his eye on me.
-
The problem is if you trade these guys now, guess who is making the trades?

They should have Jewel sponsor paper bag day fans can wear over their heads during the game. Since attendance will be low, Jewel won’t have to supply very many.
-
Sooner than that. JR will be celebrating when the player rep is gone when the team finally wakes up and realizes they aren’t mired in mediocrity anymore. They are worse, and the same dopes that put them in this situation will start trading off pieces with Gio , being a player rep, one of the first to go, earning Rick and KW another merit badge from JR.

Considering they were 39-34 their last 73 in 2021, 81-81 last season, and 7-20 this season, so 127-135 their last 262 games, 74-61 looks next to impossible, in their effort to be mediocre. Sustained winning, multiple championships. How is this for lack of logic. If it is finally determined that a change is needed with who makes the roster, it more than likely will be made after these same bozos are the ones trading players at the deadline. A change needs to be made now. Take the keys away from Rick and Kenny before they make more mistakes.

2023-24 NFL Season Thread

From what I’ve heard and read the DL the Bears drafted have 1st round talent, but motor is a question. -
Their phrase in 2011 was We’re all in. 79-83.

It’s amazing.it’s his 11th season calling the shots. He’s had 2 good teams. 1 was during Covid only 60 games, no fans. In his 11 years as a GM, Sox fans have only had 1 season they could go watch a good White Sox team. The MCaskeys would have fired him long ago.

The genius of KW and Hahn is to make sure JR is in on everything and everything turns into a 3 man decision. Maynpbe include some other lackeys and some of the coaching staff and every wrong decision can’t be accountable. We all came to the same conclusion, you can’t get rid of all of us. I really wonder how bad it would have to get for them to actually do something.

He messed up on Kimbrel, needed a RF who could hit RHP and got Pollock, who couldn't play RF, and couldn't hit RHP. He got lucky AJ wanted out, and only had to pay him $5 million this year. The only good moves he makes aren't even his thinking. There is no way they sign Cueto last year if Lynn doesnt hurt his knee. And Andrus was really good, but another no brainer getting released right when TA was pretty much done for the season. Any fantasy league owner could have done those. Of course he ruins his good Andrus move and signs him to stink up the joint this year, ignoring his recent history. I can't fathom what JR sees in him. He's made his franchise unwatchable. He's blown hundreds of millions of dollars on crap. He has no farm system, the most cost effective way to keep your team relevant. Almost everything he has done for over a decade, there are some exceptions, were wrong. How is he still around?
-
No, because the Bulls and Hawks own the other parts and nobody wants to watch them either.

Hahn fired Ricky Renteria. At the time, I thought the move was solid for where the Sox wanted to go. I didn't think Ricky ran the pitching staff too well, and seeing him bent over with his hands on his knees during the playoffs was a bit much. Looking back, the team looked so happy and fun when he was around. It was a bit like that when Tony first started, but eventually that joy died. Would it have stayed had Ricky stayed? We will never know, but I would like Hahn to answer why he deserves a White Sox paycheck and Ricky Renteria does not.

If you don't have tickets yet, buy them on the secondarty market. If you buy them from the A;s the Sox will get a small cut of it. At least if you buy them from the secondary market, JR gets none of your money. I had freebies a couple of Sundays ago when they were in a delay for 2 hours only to play in worse weather than during the delay. We bought no concessions. JR has none of my money this year, and he isn't going to get any either, unless he makes some changes.
