Especially when you are picking 10th at best. He is showing what he is. If time is of the essence, he needs to be shown the door today.

19-83, 6-46. I understand it's a rebuild. but this is ridiculous How does he keep his job.

Chris Getz says hold my beer. -
Westeddy gets wood when you mention those guys.

Considering they are 6-46 their last 52, it would seem impossible to hit the 40 win mark. They currently might even be worse than their record.
-
They also played a vast majority of their games on the road. It wasnt MLB. As far as I can tell, the White Sox are now the 3rd professional sports team since the beginning of last century to reach the 80 games below .500 mark in a season. Embrace it.
-
If the GM expected 105-110 losses, Pham served zero purpose. Getz later said RH hitting OF had no value on the market.
-
Which is something, like fixing the pitching development, which he had nothing to do with in his previous roles, , and building a lockdown bullpen, Getz can be proud of.
-
14 home losses in a row. New record. 1-22 at home since the All Star break. Embrace it.

Yes, but that's a huge asterisk. The first one was expanded playoffs after 60 games. Where their starting pitching was at that point doesn't make it seem plausible they would have been in the race had it been a normal year.
-
What happened was they never addressed their shortcomings. They had an awful offseason in 2021-2022. That was followed up with an even worse one in 2022-2023, and an even worse one in 2023-2024. There is no reason to think it may improve. Jerry had one of the worst front offices in baseball, and he made it worse, and was either totally fooled or lied to the press and his fanbase. For us, it toally sucks. For him, he will just slash payroll to the point he can't help but make a profit, and be all in on Getz proving him right, even though it will never happen.
-
And probably the $16.5 million contract that was given to him.
-
yes, but they would have won just as many playoff series.
-
He also made a big thing about Hagen meeting Crochet. Hagen was on the broadcast and said he didn't meet Crochet.

I wasn't before, but after these quotes, I am openly cheering for Chris Getz and Jerry Reinsdorf to be able to say they put together the worst MLB team of all time. I hope they embrace it.
-
Not to mention, no access to the fruits of being historically terrible, and now picking 10th.
-
“If I were a fan, I’d be p—-ed,” Reinsdorf said. “I’d be very angry. But at the same time, this is the first really, really bad year. We won the division in ’21, we were .500 last year. That’s nobody’s goal to be .500, but that’s still average. This is the first disaster. This is the first real disaster.” Reinsdorf, 87, made it clear he doesn’t want to go through another major overhaul after the most recent rebuild came up short. The team has a foundation in place, he said, adding: “We’re not going to take the guys that we have now and clean out and start over again."
-
And didn't he discuss his plan with JR before being hired? I wouldn't be surprised if we lose 110 games next year should have come up in the conversation. If it did, JR's talk at the press conference announcing his hiring was full of lies.
-
His strategy is to delay, delay, delay so he's employed longer.
-
I've been mad about the Getz hire and this entire season. His quotes make it much worse. I wonder if JR gets that the quotes make him look like a fool.
-
The other thing I don't get is he said he wouldn't have been surprised if they lost 110. If you think you're bad enough to lose 110, why would it be surprising you are record bound? He's trying Hahn spin, and he's not as good as the master. And if you think you're losing that much, why are you signing Tommy Pham?

White sox baseball-embrace it.
