  1. 14 home losses in a row. New record. 1-22 at home since the All Star break. Embrace it.
  2. Yes, but that's a huge asterisk. The first one was expanded playoffs after 60 games. Where their starting pitching was at that point doesn't make it seem plausible they would have been in the race had it been a normal year.
  3. What happened was they never addressed their shortcomings. They had an awful offseason in 2021-2022. That was followed up with an even worse one in 2022-2023, and an even worse one in 2023-2024. There is no reason to think it may improve. Jerry had one of the worst front offices in baseball, and he made it worse, and was either totally fooled or lied to the press and his fanbase. For us, it toally sucks. For him, he will just slash payroll to the point he can't help but make a profit, and be all in on Getz proving him right, even though it will never happen.
  4. And probably the $16.5 million contract that was given to him.
  5. yes, but they would have won just as many playoff series.
  6. He also made a big thing about Hagen meeting Crochet. Hagen was on the broadcast and said he didn't meet Crochet.
  7. I wasn't before, but after these quotes, I am openly cheering for Chris Getz and Jerry Reinsdorf to be able to say they put together the worst MLB team of all time. I hope they embrace it.
  8. Not to mention, no access to the fruits of being historically terrible, and now picking 10th.
  9. Len was talking yesterday and said there was the misconception the Dodgers fixed Kopech. He pointed out that Kopech was fixed before being traded. Makes the trade that much worse.
  10. “If I were a fan, I’d be p—-ed,” Reinsdorf said. “I’d be very angry. But at the same time, this is the first really, really bad year. We won the division in ’21, we were .500 last year. That’s nobody’s goal to be .500, but that’s still average. This is the first disaster. This is the first real disaster.” Reinsdorf, 87, made it clear he doesn’t want to go through another major overhaul after the most recent rebuild came up short. The team has a foundation in place, he said, adding: “We’re not going to take the guys that we have now and clean out and start over again."
  11. And didn't he discuss his plan with JR before being hired? I wouldn't be surprised if we lose 110 games next year should have come up in the conversation. If it did, JR's talk at the press conference announcing his hiring was full of lies.
  12. His strategy is to delay, delay, delay so he's employed longer.
  13. I've been mad about the Getz hire and this entire season. His quotes make it much worse. I wonder if JR gets that the quotes make him look like a fool.
  14. The other thing I don't get is he said he wouldn't have been surprised if they lost 110. If you think you're bad enough to lose 110, why would it be surprising you are record bound? He's trying Hahn spin, and he's not as good as the master. And if you think you're losing that much, why are you signing Tommy Pham?
  15. Just embrace it. What a buffoon.
  16. If there is the dreaded leadoff walk, what is it when you walk the first 3?
  17. Nastrini back to back walks. Hard to believe.
  18. Colas supposed lack of development is a pox on Getz previous role. As we know, this current stance shouldn’t surprise anyone. The White Sox always wait for their prospects to be totally ready before calling them up.
  19. Either the Sox are stupid, or they hate Ramos so much, they are begging for Vargas to be a 3B.
  20. Schriffen is going to be at Ultimate Fighting this week. he said the White Sox made a statement with yesterday's win. So clueless. Ultimate fighing, slamball, maybe the hot dog eating contest, a weekly college game... that is what he should be doing. Not MLB PBP for an unstacked team.
  21. Funny thing is Amin was runner up to Jason for the Sox PBP job way back when.
  22. I don’t understand this. Didn’t the Sox basically sign Pham to flip at the deadline? Now not paying him the last 2 months is great business? Wouldn’t they have been better off saving even more money and not signing him at all? I just read an article about the Dodgers stealing Kopech. The price was small, Vargas, and a couple of guys who may never get to AAA. And the Cardinals got Fedde for next year. And the Sox sent cash. Getz got pantsed. The organization didn’t improve…. Personally, I think JR is starting to remember the profits the team was making when they weren’t trying to win, and it appeals to him. It’s disgusting what this team has become. A national joke, a laughingstock. Ken Rosenthal called them a sad sack franchise. Where’s any fucking pride?
  23. What makes it more impressive is he is coming off TJS. You would think that would give hope for even better results, especially with command , in the future.
