  1. The longer it drags on, the smaller his punishment will be IMO.
  2. If they were able to send him to the highest bidder, they get more, but how much. ? I think doing right by him may pay off more for them in the long run.
  3. 2nd rounder that could turn into a 1st round pick if the Rangers make the conference finals and a 4th rounder.
  4. The fact of the matter is by this point, they should have one.
  5. They didn't throw 100. Back when the game was played more rapidly, 92-94 was considered pretty quick. Now its mediocre. I do think the pitch clock is the best thing that has happened to the game in a long time.
  6. From what I read, the velo stayed about the same. Of course most of the guys throwing around 100 aren't in AAA, unless they are very young, which you think would mean less recovery time needed. I think the veteran max effort guys are the guys to watch for injury and/or velo drop.
  7. The treatment could be as long as 6 months. He probably is doing the one that is 3 to 4 months. It kicks your ass. It’s great that he is with the team and throwing, but he’s probably nowhere near full strength and probably has at least another month or two getting treated. You have to figure it will take some time after that to get to full strength. Hope he comes back in the second half, but don’t count on it,
  8. My wife's line is a bunch of uneducated men in silly costumes, running around in dirt, trying to hit a ball with a stick. It so great.
  9. I would think if it was close to wrapping up, they would have had it done before they would have had to go through all this. So I expect it to drag on for a while.
  10. JR owes everything to Michael Jordan. Without him, he would be known as one of the worst owners ever.
  11. Some fluff out of RH. Nothing but great things about Romy's offseason. Nothing but bad things about RH;s offseason. Again.
  12. Not without command. Look at Rodon after TJ. Look at Britton. Look at just about everyone except Verlander, although Verlander had a lot longer recovery time when he took the mound. A year out, most of these guys kind of suck. Some continue to suck, but many get a lot better with more time.
  13. Youll see. He won't be the Crochet he's been. He'll throw a little softer with less command. 2024 he should be back.
  14. I don't know about that. I think most teams know who they are up against in free agency.
  15. I think he is now torn. If he spent money and stacked the roster this year, he runs the risk of not only eating into his profit, but making his buddy Tony look like an even bigger fool. I am sure JR still thinks he's right and everyone else is wrong, that Tony wins games managing.
  16. The Padres wanted to sign everybody. Did they even make this guy an offer? That would be a pretty good giveaway there is something oh so wrong here.
  17. I will give RH some credit, from the quotes it seems he doesn't want this guy around either.
  18. Someone should ask KW how this is any different from Brett Myers, a wife beater he traded for.
  19. MLB is going to emphasize the balk this year. Sounds like fun.
  20. You can't blame the players for playing down to their competition when the entire organization does the same thing.
  21. The length of the games should drop significantly this year. I think, since most concession stands have been closed up, beer sales have stopped, the teams couldn't care less how many people are in the stands for the 13th inning. The rule is there so they won't burn pitchers. If that's the case, why not do it in the postseason as well?
  22. This regime had Sale, Q, and Eaton to trade for the rebuild. Think how bad the rebuild would go without guys like that to trade. No Gio, no Cease, no Kopech, no Mocada, no Eloy, no Lopez. They can’t draft well. They don’t develop players well. Another rebuild would be a long disaster with the same dopes calling the shots.
  23. The one thing I really hate about it is who gets put on second. It could be a big advantage to some team all because a really fast guy made an out. While I understand extra innings aren't always that equal depending where you are in the line up, it seems odd to reward a team for an out. And if the rule is so great, why don't they include it in the playoffs. Pitching can be even more scarce then.
