Exactly.

Remember when 7 in a row was a long streak? That was awesome.

Too bad Schriffen isn't a GM. He'd pick up Nicky in a hearbeat. He said last night he's really settled into the leadoff spot.

4 wins their last 41 games. Sorry, that's clean house time.

One thing that needs to be done, no matter what his supposed role is, LaRussa needs to go away. Since his managerial career ended the first time he helped run the D Backs into the ground, went to Boston, Dombrowski got fired. Went to Anaheim, they haven't been above .500 in 9 seasons. Then helped the White Sox reach depths the likes you have never seen. Seems to be a pattern.

I don't think so. It was insane. I live on the Near North Side. Right before 7, it was sunny and there was a cicada right by my bedroom window. It was so loud, i thought it might be inside. Then I spotted him on the small window ledge below my window. I didn't want to take out the screen to shoe him away so I pounded on the glass. That just made him louder. 2 minutes later he was pounded by hail and he scrammed.

The biggest Chris Getz apologist on this board told us he built a lockdown bullpen.

And even with Bannister, he has the worst pitching staff in the AL, second only to Colorado in team ERA. He focused on defense, and that sucks so bad. We weren't expecting 90 wins, but it's obvious he isn't the guy for the job. Move on

What has he done his year on the job, a year, according to the guy who hired him, couldn't be wasted, says to you he is the right guy for the job? It's like Pedro, I wouldn't expect the White Sox to be in contention no matter who JR hired last year, but it's obvious this guy was a mistake. If time is truly of the essence, he needs to go or you will be wasting several more years until enough is enough.
-
I really don't think there is anything that can possibly happen that will fundamentally change the way JR operates the White Sox, and until he dies, he isn't going anywhere either. That could be tomorow, that could be 10 years from now. I wish no one whose most evil thing they have done is run a sports franchise into the ground death, but are we supposed to stop discussing the team? Nothing is going to change.

It's funny, when they went 81-81 you thought, they really couldn't play any worse, next season has to be better. Then they go 61-101 and you think they couldn't be any worse, next season has to be better. Now they are 31-101 and you're no longer thinking, it really can't get worse.
-
The point being, if he was not responsible for any of the stink, he didn't do anything. So any way you slice it, he is over employed.
-
Admit your mistake and fire him. Before hired, he was one of 2 things. Either someone who deserved his fair share of blame for the failure leading up to firing his bosses, or he was a coffee boy. Either way, he wasn’t qualified, and you can see that every day. It’s ludicrous he has a job.

Scouts make McDonalds-like money.

And when they rebuilt the first time, they tried doing it with the same cast that got them in the position they needed to gut the team. All other teams that do that change their front office. So the Sox fail, and then try to do it again with a dope that was there for the failure.

I think Senzel only got into 1 game after Pedro was fired. I watched the postgame show yesterday. Ozzie said Ramos should be playing 3B the rest of the season. If Moncada comes back, he should play 2B. Our Chuck then asked about Vargas, and Ozzie just got a disgusted look on his face. Then he said, he's not a 3B.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
Dick Allen replied to Paulie4Pres's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It really is unbelievable how bad they are. Teams trying to be awful aren't this bad. This team has the highest payroll in the division. Every other team in the division is at least 34 games better than them and it's still August. I could never have imagined the White Sox would ever be anywhere near 31-100. -

They are 4-33 their last 37 games.
