  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Is the fishing Wave going around? That's one thing that must stop in the upper deck at USCF.
  2. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Montero gives up a 3-run jack, Garza in line for the W. Ozzie was real high on Montero,.
  3. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) I would add Vazquez and Garcia to that list as well. They seem to have a beach of a time pitching over errors...Hell, we should have our best D out thereEVERY nite from now on,maybe that will get the starters in a groove The Sox as a team have had a difficult time pitching over defensive miscues this season.
  4. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) yeah, hes just slow now. Maybe he should give Brady Anderson a call this winter.
  5. What are the chances he takes one a foot off the outside corner for strike 3?
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:14 PM) Tracey pulled in favor of Montero. Hopefully he's roided up, and the Knights will win.
  7. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) Exactly. If i were Mack i'd be pissed he keeps putting me out there Mack is the type of guy who would be thrilled if Ozzie put him behind the plate. I just don't see how much more evidence you need to come to the conclusion that Mack should only be in CF in an emergency. An extreme emergency. Seriously, and I never thought I would say this, I think if they don't want to tweak the roster, Pods should be in CF and Mack in LF when Anderson sits. Mack is much better in LF than Pods, and as little as I think of Pod's defensive prowess, he can't be worse than Mack in CF, can he?
  8. Thome is 4-8 with 6 walks in his career against Halladay. I don't think any left the park, though.
  9. A lot of people want to stack the offense in games against Halladay. The White Sox best team recently was also their worst offensively. Mack might hit .342 against RHP, but he needs to hit a solo homer against Roy Halladay to make up for his first inning gaffe. Defense and pitching win. The pitching made Ozzie look like a genius last year. Its making him look like a fool this year.
  10. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) Did you read the article about Cooper working with Javy on closing his stance and standing taller? Granted, it's no guarantee, but maybe it leads to an improvement... The next big game Javy Vazquez wins will be his first. He blows. He's below .500 lifetime with a 4.50 ERA pitching mostly in the NL. He isn't that good. His contract doesn't represent his overall results.
  11. Hopefully the bottom of the order will continue to make Halladay work. A 6 or 7 pitch inning here would be a killer.
  12. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) Hawk even said that was all on Mack. It was a poor play, but blaming Mack after all of the troubles is like blaming Paulie for not being able to steal bases. Mack is a poor CF. I have never seen poor defense like his exposed to this degree game after game. The White Sox need another guy who can play CF.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) Would Anderson have had that? Let's put it this way, Carl Everett would have had it.
  14. Its not Mack's fault anymore. Its now Ozzie and KW's fault for not recognizing a huge problem that occurs almost every game Mack is in CF.
  15. Thome has done very well against Halladay in the few times he has faced him. Hopefully, he won't be rusty tonight. It will be a pretty big feat to get a win tonight, and could propel the White Sox into a hot streak. The 4 out of 6 so far on this trip is acceptable but not great IMO.
  16. Hopefully Geddy Lee will attend at least one of the games. The Sox usually win when he's in attendance, although he does like to go when Halladay is on the mound.
  17. ''I made my pitches,'' Garcia said. ''I never really pitch good here, but I threw well. We didn't hit. What can I say?'' Freddy about last night. What did he give up, 11 hits? I'm glad he's satisfied. I cannot wait until he's an ex-White Sox.
  18. QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) ya...i knew more ppl knew this guy...next sox game i go to I'm snapping a picture of him...he's a really nice guy He's great, and he has business cards that list his occupation as VENDOR. Ask him for one. We were trying to figure out how he gets his voice so flemmy. We figured he drank a gallon of milk and smoked about 10 packs of cigarettes a day to get ready for the game.
  19. A great offseason would be to rid the team of either Garcia or Vazquez, and their entire contracts. An awesome offseason would be to rid the team of both and their entire contracts. The ideal offseason would be to rid the team of the Garcia and Vazquez contracts, fully, and find someone who is actually interested in playing LF.
  20. Ozzie was irritated when Freddy showed up Iguchi on the rainy day a couple of months ago, but Freddy does get a pass in most circumstances. But its no different with the White Sox as it is in any line of work. Some people get pounded by their superiors for usually no good reason, some get away with everything. I wish Ozzie would make it a point to get rid of the courtesy jog to first base on routine grounders. Either run it out, or just walk back to the dugout, and save yourself the BS of half assing it to first base.
  21. Banning this thing until next season is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Someone at the MLB office has way too much time on their hands.
