  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) Are you sure it reverts? I don't think that's necessarily accurate. They changed the rule a couple of years ago. If they tie it up or take the lead the game is suspended and will be resumed from the point it left off.
  2. Tie this game up or take the lead so it will be suspended.
  3. What I fail to understand is all along KW stated that McCarthy was the 6th starter and anticipated, because of 2005's workload, that the starters would need a break during the course of the season. Except for Contreras hitting the DL a couple of months ago, there have been no breaks, in fact I think the Sox still lead the league in starter's innings. So if you were worried about the toll last year, haven't rested them this year, and still lead the league in starter's innings, why do you insist on stretching the starters game after game when even idiots like me can see what is going to happen?
  4. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) ozzie seems to be one of those managers where if things are going well he's a genious, and if the team starts to slip a little bit its all blamed on him He got a lot of credit when they won. He should get some blame when they lose.
  5. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) does anyone else agree with me that Ozzie put that guy on so he can have a righty on righty matchup? It doesn't make sense to set up a force because there were two outs, but why do it in the 7th inning witha guy who has been on base all night? Why not just bring in the lefty? What's wrong with pitching to shane Costa. Whatever Ozzie.:headshake: Why would you pitch to Teahan but walk Cosa?
  6. Its going to be a tall task beating Halladay Friday. It would behoove the Sox to score a few more runs.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) Thanks Boston for pitching to him. They need Boone Logan.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) Now if Pods was in center, that ball would of been racing towards the wall. Pods would be on the ground stunned. After a while he would jog to the wall to get it and throw a flyball back to the infield.
  9. Crede had a similar play last season and Ramirez hit the next pitch that bounced of a satelite. Crede played much better after that IIRC.
  10. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) And play who at SS? SANDY! Pablo would be the call right now. It actually might wake Uribe up.
  11. I'm a huge Uribe fan, but if Cintron wasn't DHing right now, I would take him out of the game right in the middle of an inning.
  12. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) I know my title says Brokeback Pratt, but I am not a homosexual, and I haven't watched Brokeback Mountain, either. Thought I'd get that out of the way. not that there's anything wrong with it.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) Crap...we're in trouble now. Anyone have an idea on how soon it might rain? I think they said it would be an hour or 2. I still wouldn't take any chances and have Freddy on a short leash and not worry about his getting a W.
  14. Walking AJ is a feat few have accomplished.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) Great....now the wind is conspiring against us. Hawk is just giving you the wind's perspective.
  16. The bullpen needs to be up. Freddy is going to implode soon, and the rain is going to come.
  17. I wonder what Ozzie would be like after a couple of bong hits.
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) I think he's called chief because he looks Native Americanoish. Robert Parish and Freddy both have been called "chief", and both have been linked to smoking weed. But he does look like a Native American.
  19. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) This just in! Jeff Weaver's career is just about over. Too much time hanging around a bong.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) Yes, I do believe so. Maybe the Sox can set up an organ donation with Vazquez? Vazquez probably would decline. But DJ could use one of his/her nuts.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) I'm not sure if enough people know who he is. He's the she/he/she in Wedding Singer. Isn't he in the process of becoming a she?
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) Well, Alexis Arquette is already in LF That's pretty good.
