  1. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) Mack would have dove forward while the ball is flying over his head. Mack would have broken back for that ball right.........................................now.
  2. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) I know it would take a lot more than Boone Logan, but he has only given up 2 or 3 hits his last 9 innings with 15 ks. With all the teams looking for bullpen help, he may actually be a very valuable trading chip the next couple weeks.
  3. I'd take Soriano in a heartbeat. I wonder if Bowden would have any interest in Boone Logan. He's been on fire lately.
  4. Anderson better be careful. He may be at .220 by the end of the weekend.
  5. QUOTE(Chopper2Hopper @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) Is Brook Fordyce still playing? Or is there a softball league we can resurrect him from? I think its getting to the point where Chris Stewart has to be considered. He's the odds on favorite to be the back-up next season, and is probably a lock to be called up in September anyway. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) they just had 94 year old O'Neil in a minor league game. think carlton fisk could come back? No, he's 95.
  6. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:30 PM) all this fish talk has me thinking long john silvers, whos comin with me? I've never made it out of a Long John Silver's without serious stomach pains in my life. 4 times. Never again.
  7. Maybe Coop could work with the Widge. If anyone could fix him, Coop can.
  8. Contreras doesn't have his dominating stuff yet, but he's getting the job done. I think its because the Widge is behind the dish.
  9. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) at least we added to Rogers pitchcount a bit...and noone used up their big hit for the game yet... I rather face Rogers than the Tigers bullpen.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) Someone please, give me a reason that Chris Widger is on this team. I could tell you, but I'd get banned.
  11. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) you know Widger will come through!!!! Unfortunately it will be in the beer league he'll surely be playing in next summer.
  12. Good job Crede. Don't stop now. The Sox need to get at least 2 this inning.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Yep and with all the Ben Broussard rumors out there, I really think he'll be starting at 1B on Opening Day next season. Besides the fact that he's a horrible catcher, getting him away from catching will probably make him an even better offensive player. It really makes no sense keeping him behind the plate.
  14. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) He can't throw out anybody. With Garcia and Contreras on the mound, it really would matter if you had Johnny Bench or a guy with no arms catching, they are going to steal. I would like to see the offense start running a little more BTW>
  15. Our pitchers are going to have to re-learn how to win games when the offense provides only 2 or 3 or 4 runs. I think the offense is very due for a slowdown.
  16. But as Hawk says, this is a much bigger game for Detroit than it is for the Sox.
  17. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) Anyone else question why ozzie is going with the bench team, while leyland has his starters in?? Don't you understand. Ozzie is resting these guys so they will be strong for their tee times in October.
  18. Stupid. Why does Ichuchi who is a dangerous hitter, bunt in the first inning, and a guy like Widger who has been looking for a hit longer than The Go Go's, doesn't. Failing to bunt there cost the Sox a run.
