Hawk says there's a reason Tejada makes $16 million a year. I wonder if he can come up with any reason Vazquez makes $12 million other than udder stupidity.

As bad as Ortiz has been, he's 10-0 the last 3 years in July. I still think the Sox are going to hammer him tonight.

I think a lot of it right now is superstition. If DJ is doing PBP and the Sox have a good inning, he does more. Hawk is in the booth just about the entire game, I have a pretty good vantage point, so it isn't an incredible amount of bathroom breaks.

The Sox play the Yankees 7/14,7/15,7/16. Seattle plays them 7/17,7/18,7/19. Detroit plays Cleveland 7/24,7/25,7/26. This easily could explain why those scouts were there. The Atlanta scout, that's a different story, but just because scouts are at games doesn't mean deals are being discussed. Teams want reports on every player from both leagues.
